Though not quite as speedy as D.H., you may enjoy Forced Entry. One of my favourite thrash bands of all time.

Have you tried Morbid Saint? To me they seem about as close to DH as I can find.

Not that you needed another person to mention them, but Morbid Saint fucking rules, check out Spectrum of Death, just listen to the full album.

Somewhat similar to Morbid Saint but a bit less hammering and percussive, check out Acrophet. Both albums are good - hammering and aggressive thrash.

Merciless are somewhat similar, though a bit more deathy. The two demos, "Behind the Black Door" and "Realm of the Dark" are amazing, and their debut "The Awakening" rounds up their early era of being relentless extreme thrash with riffs and some more riffs and then some riffs. Those three should be what you're looking for here, perhaps not quite as percussive as DH. They evolved a bit after that, I reviewed everything in their discography if you want to find out about the other stuff.

You would probably also like Vomitor. Less groove, more rough thrashing.
A bit slower: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4DoJKo8WBg

Multiple Stab Wounds (MSW) came from a few miles east of DH and put out a few demos in the 80s. They never had the production to be quite as hammering as DH but they're aggressive as hell and sort of a mix between early Slayer and some more extreme thrash.

Protector moved a bit more towards death/thrash over time, but it's worth listening to all of their albums chronologically.

Arachnid is among the best thrash bands who never got past the demo stage and deserve way more love. Very Morbid Saint sounding thrash. Not quite as brutal as Epidemic Of Violence, but that album is about as extreme as thrash can get before it becomes death metal http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8A5_Hs-Qzo

I've come to a conclusion that for every DH rec thread, the following bands must be mentioned:

Devastation

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVrK7p6bc6A

Morbid Saint (probably the most similar because of the vocals and more relentless style)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=arp2USgULac

Exhorder

Kreator

Dark Angel

Well, that's not uncommon at all. Many people go on 4chan in order to get off.

Protector's 90s albums were extremely heavy and probably even made DH look slightly weaker. Check out "The Heritage". No wonder they always get listed as one of the heaviest metal bands ever.

Definitely not as hammering and brutal as DH (not sure there's even another thrash band on that level) but you should check out Razor. The albums Violent Restitution and Shotgun Justice in particular.

Most of the bands listed are fast and brutal and good recommendations but don't really remind me of Demolition Hammer much.

Malevolent Creations has always reminded me of Demolition Hammer though they are a little closer to the death metal side of things. Ten Commandments is a very solid album.

I didn't see Solstice listed. Think Demolition Hammer but a bit more technical.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_uRyaYkymJY

Condition Critical is a new band that worships Demolition Hammer and does it well. They were nicknamed Demolition Hammer Jr in their hometown.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPRJHAmF ... ature=plcp

Laceration is some more Demolition Hammer worship.

:edit: Malevolent Creation was listed so I will second them.

Morbid Saint's Spectrum of Death is the closest you'll get, in my opinion.
