Bosnian tech metallers After Oblivion have just released there debut album and it sounds like a pretty solid piece of work. As my title mentions I though some of you guys into Vektor or later Death might enjoy this release somewhat.

Edit - must say it also reminds me of Destruction, not a bad combination.

Your description makes me want to check it out. Destruction is my favorite old-school thrash outfit and Vektor my favorite in recent years. Hopefully this doesn't suck...the name of the band would lead me to think that. ;)

Edit: good shit...definitely the Chuck vocals. Vektor/Death is an apt comparison. Sounds good, though.

Colour me curious as well, that sounds like a very interesting description! And like Misfit, Vektor and Destruction are pretty my favourites from their respective era. Can't wait to get home and check this out.

I've known of these guys for over a year, though I wasn't so impressed when I listened to them. My tastes have changed a bit though. I'm definitely more open to technical thrash now, so after checking out their new album, I'll revisit their old EPs.

Huh, I have no idea how I saw your username in there... My bad, haha.

Surely they must be everyone's favourite bands though, right? :P

Hey, this is nice, though the Vektor/Death comparisons seem too bold if you ask me. Yes, their style is reminiscent of those two bands, but After Oblivion's songwriting sounds more than a bit too disjointed, not to mention that the vocals are kinda grating (and this is coming from a big David DiSanto fan). I'll give the record an opportunity, though I don't expect it to live up to the hype.

Actually you were able to put my name next to two bands I don't even like! :-D
