Back around the time of mid-90's, a couple of songs used to be spun on Headbangers Ball, featuring one of those new fangled alterna bands.

For the life of me I cant remember the name of the band.

Possible Hints :

- one song had verse lyrics that went :
"you gotta reach out, find what's troubling you...."
and the chorus went something like
"when you're in the middle of a good dream, i can't bring you back....GET BACK GET BACK GET BACK"

-The other had a chorus that went "Mary Mary !"

- the music in both the songs was kinda groove metal lite, with a tall long haired shirtless dude with scary contact lenses action going on. and they had female bassist or guitarist...
kinda like a pseudo-white zombie vibe

the songs been running through my head for a coupla days now, and for the lifwe of me i cant remebr the band name...

any help will be hgihly appreciated.

Im familiar with them as well as the other major nu bands of the era. This is more obscure, except it got spins on mid 90's headbanger's ball.

i dunno maybe they were australian but i could be wrong.

the two songs i mentioned were catchy as fuck though, and not in a typical nu metal way.

Maybe Kill II This? They had a girl bassist, though they were from the UK.

hmm, not groove metal but a girl bassist - Pist On. They were somewhere between Life of AGony and Type O in kind of influence and sound. Possibly not the band you're looking for but at least have a try? If it's not them then you at least have discovered a great band ;)

Could you specify what year you heard this? Try and retrace what year you heard it and I could possibly find the song. Because long hair with contacts and 'Mary, Mary' isn't enough to go on.

the lyrics for the first track (posted above) are very distinctive.. the chorus is quite catchy and vocally backed up by the girl.

could you at least gimme a way/methodology to search this out ?
