I had been sitting on some material for a while and I actually recorded my ideas this time. I can't do vocals at all so there aren't vocals on the recordings sadly. If anyone wants to do some vocals that'd be neat and it'd help out a ton. The drums suck and are too loud, and a couple of the tracks just have one single blastbeat so obviously this isn't releasable music.

Anyways, http://soundcloud.com/karnossis

Thoughts on my shitty and generic bedroom black metal?

Dude, this is really, really good. Some killer riffs in here, and great atmosphere.

You're far too hard on yourself.

There are definitely some good riffs/arrangements within these pieces. I especially enjoyed Insider, personally. You wouldn't happen to be a fan of In Flames would you? the harmony that you're using for the initial riff is quite reminiscent of what I hear in In Flames. And the lead guitar work is very interesting, though I believe that you could stretch the structures and repetitions out to greater effect. I'd love to hear these turned into 7/9 minute tracks.

I like In Flames a good amount though I've always been a bigger fan of At the Gates personally. Got your pm too, writing out a message.

Oh ok, well it certainly shows in your writing, but that is a very good thing, you're starting to nail a very cool sound, but there is always room for experimentation in any band I think.. unless you're a part of Black Witchery, hehehe.

Just replied to your pm buddy, thanks for being prompt in your response.

The original stuff I had was extremely symphonic influenced, but it kind of dropped off really quick. I started listening to more of the french bands.

Absolutely fucking badass. Dude, if you need vocals, let me know.

Also, that vocal recording pic confirmed what I suspected: SLK records shirtless in a sweaty caveman-like delirium. You can almost hear the man stink in the recordings.
