Godkiller's "Rebirth of the Middle Ages" should do the trick. This should be in the recommendations sub forum, just so you know.

Also I would try checking out various Neofolk and Dungeon Synth stuff; it's not Metal but may be to your liking.

The Meads of Asphodel does this, right? Among other... things.

I suppose Summoning would be an obvious choice. I mean, they dont focus on classical guitar, but they kind of have a medieval thing going. Um, maybe Ophthalamia a little. Those are just off the top of my head.

Obsequiae's probably what you're looking for but you'd have better luck in the rec forum

Well.....Jaldaboath? Though they're kinda comedic, you'll probably like them.

Some of the older Abigor, like Orkblut (The Retaliation) ep comes to mind.

And of course first era Mortiis is total medieval dungeon keyboard music.

Yep was about to say, get Mortiis' The Stargate. It's a fucking great album, too.
A few pagan/black metal bands have done albums full of folk-type music - Manegarm's Urminnes Havd is my favourite of the lot, and Ulver's second album Kveldssanger is in the same vein. I haven't found any bands/albums yet that make stuff EXACTLY like those interludes on The Somberlain... I'm sure there MUST be someone out there doing that, but might not be anyone with connections to metal.

edit: here's a mortiis song (i can't find the one i WANTED to show you, but it's all pretty good):

In fact, Blondel de Nesle, who writes all the band's music, studied Medieval Composition for Harp while in college.

Check out Nerthus, Naastrand, Mithotyn, Forefather etc.

And especially, Graveland.

What a coincidence.. I was just listening to Satyricon's "Min Hyllest Till Vinterland", should be right up your alley.

Hails, you have to check Wongraven's one and only full length called Fjelltronen, though it is not a black metal project but an ambient, folk one I think it will satisfy you.

It's been a while since the last post, but for the benefit of anyone who may stumble across this looking for the same thing (like I did. Thanks guys) I shall make a recommendation anyway! Nazgul are great. Italian symphonic black metal with alot of medieval sounding elements. Don't let the 'Symphonic' scare you away!
