So, we know it's coming, and I think the last we heard that they were done recording it, and that it'll be released in summer. Since then everything has been silent. Does anyone any more? And they did have advance tracks, what are they called? I want to check them out. Even without knowing them I am massively stoked for this release because of the level of quality they kept during their first three albums.

Easily my most anticipated album. This band is stellar. Every week I check for new information regarding this new album. I'm not sure it'll be released this year at this rate....
By the way, Shadow Kingdom records recently released their first 2 albums in a re-mastered sound with a normal booklet which contains the lyrics. A good opportunity fot newcomers to the band to get those brilliant albums.

They had one new song early this year or so: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLgSzkVFer8

Sounds good, if not as epochal and transcendent as Mythical and Magical...still though, great bluesy old school riffing. Should be a killer album at any rate when it finally comes out.

That seems like a rather average track. :|

That solo was way overlong, but it was a good track besides that.

I really need to check out some more of their stuff, never really did give them a chance, but they seem right up my alley. Love this sort of quirky, epic/doom metal. Hate ordering from Shadow Kingdom, but I'll break down eventually I guess and pick them up.

For whatever reason, my gut feeling is that this is going to be a rather notable step down in quality. I hope I'm wrong!

Here's another song that should appear on the next album.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_8-YMvN4Cw

I don't think the album is quite ready yet as they were busy this summer building up a studio in Terry's backyard. With all the lineup changes there was, they had to teach all the songs to their new bassist and guitarist for their upcoming gigs so I say the new album most likely won't come until 2013.

Neither song has made me hard.

Hoping there is better material in store.

From the bands Facebook -

Terry Jones wrote:
It has come to my attention that people are trying to get copies of ‘Walking in the dark’ that was only originally released as a limited addition split single with Jex Thoth! One person had been searching for two years to get a copy and I would imagine it cost him/her an arm and a leg when they finally tracked one down and obviously this is not on! I don’t care about the ‘collector’ brigade or people that buy them only to sell them on at a profit; it’s the genuine ‘Fan’ (“Shit I hate that word”) that bothers me! So…I have asked BBTAD to bring out a vinyl single with ‘Walking in the dark’ on the ‘A’ side and ‘Narcissus’ on the ‘B’ side! As always BBTAD will do a great job of it and will certainly commemorate that early part of our history admirably. These two songs were the first two ever written by Al and I and date back to nineteen hundred and frozen to death before Pagan Altar was actually conceived although only recorded for the first time about 2006-ish…. I think!
We are also contemplating bringing out a CD version for those without a turntable but not sure how viable that would be for the label concerned so, some input from you guys would be quite valuable!
Anyway, hopefully this will solve all the ‘pay through the nose’ scarcity nonsense!

This is great news. The band also has a few not so new songs on Youtube floating around also. Perhaps this long delayed (6 years now?) album might finally see the light of day?

It isn't the complete version (drums are machined I think!). They've stated several times on their facebook page recently that they're still in the recording process. Things seem to have happened to slow them down, but hopefully it'll be out next year sometime. I, too, am pretty excited about it...
