Recently got ahold of:

Elf - Self titled LP
Keep of Kalessin - Armada 2LP
Rainbow - Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow LP
Deeds of Flesh - Mark of the Legion CD
Fear Factory- Soul of a New Machine CD

SUPER pleased with finding the old Elf and Rainbow records dirt cheap, even with Elf being in rough-ish condition.

Good stuff here, the Thou/Leech split is a top notch release and Ancestortooth aren't bad either.

Haha, I was being lazy!

I certainly will post my own, as soon as more of these arrive. I hope I never splurge this much again, fucking christ.

If you want, I can post photos of my record room of the house I just moved out of a couple months ago.

My thoughts exactly. I also like how he'll show us pictures "if we want" and then he just uploads them anyways.

Thanks! What happened was I just got so close to filling out what I wanted that I just couldn't stop. There's a couple more I want on vinyl, but I can wait.

Really happy to have mint copies of the Mercyful Fate EP and Infernal Majesty - None Shall Defy. They both sound incredible.

I know you are pinning the bag at the top and using pins as supports as the bottom, but are the vinyl/sleeves actually resting on the pins on the bottom? cause eventually if they are they will start to get marks there and dig marks from resting on the pins for too long.

I know this more so from where I had tons of action figures hanging on my walls.

Yea I said that... it's the 7th word in my post... so I'm not sure if you didn't comprehend the post or didn't read it... esp since it's not even directed to you.

You're right. As a general rule, records should never be left off the shelf. I tried my best to make sure they weren't pinched, and I tried to spread the pins out far enough so the vinyl/sleeves didn't touch. But with pic discs I couldn't do that of course, so yeah, it's not good for them.

yea, i know it sucks cause you always want to display your awesome finds. I do to as well...sometimes if I find some for cheap (like ate up garage cheap) I'll get them just so I can hang them and not give a shit. But awesome layout of it all.

I think next year I plan on building new shelves to house the majority of my cds cause the cases I bought specifcally designed to hold tons of cds is starting to sag and if I build them I know I can design them where they hold more and won't sag.

same with my vinyl.

Good release, I downloaded it from their bandcamp a while back, definitely looking forward to their future works.

hmm i'd possibly remove the vinyl so it weighs less then use "blue tack" [or white or clear tack]
3M have these AWESOME non permanent sticky pads [we had the whole command range at work]
but they don't hold that much, but yeah you can remove them years later with no dramas.

cool collection man, maybe put the photos in the collection thread? wherever that is ha ha i've been meaning to put mine in there for a while
am i blind or is there no turntable in those pics?

Sure, I will. I'm new to the forums here, I just used this site for the reviews prior.

The turntable is below the crappy Aiwa shelf unit btw, haha.

I always put them in rows as opposed to stacks. I always get a little bit antsy when I have to store CDs on top of one another, because I keep feeling like the ones on the bottom are going to get crushed (and in the case of digipaks, get permanently bent out of shape). Not that that ever actually happens, but better safe than sorry.

yeah i'm over horizontal stacking aye, i need to get some decent shelves, these box/cubby things suck and they're too deep.

I do have digipaks that are a little damaged from stacking, but I literally have no other options right now. Meh. :|

never liked stacking always bought racks to store them in alphabetical/chronological order. the only time I stack cds is when I haven't listened to them yet so they haven't been put in order yet.

plus the main reason I hated stacking is having to move everything on top so that you can get to the ones on bottom.
