I'm looking for something similar to The Devil's Blood and Blood Ceremony.

I made a huge list of these bands with links and info over here http://www.reddit.com/r/Metal/comments/ ... ghost_jex/
Specifically it's the 70's rock based retro stuff, or softer side of classic metal/doom, not just all satanic metal.

Closest would be Jex Thoth, Cauchemar, Hands of Orlac, Seremonia, Jess and the Ancient Ones and the others in the first part of the list. And that's just the female fronted ones.

Second Grave is a good one with a doomy classic metal sound that's pretty underrated.

A lot of them in the list have some occult/fanatasy themes but aren't obvious about it. Some blatant satan-worshippers are Ghost (you've probably heard of them) and Year of the Goat.

I don't really get it, what's all the fuss over Ghost...there's nothing special or interesting about them..save the costumes. :roll:

Combining theatrical Satanism with catchy pop rock is a pretty good gimmick. they're quite similar to blue oyster cult in both sound and crazy fun lyrical content. The live shows are great as well apparently.
