Lamb of God wants the Men & Women of the Military to send in pictures for a tribute video in their upcoming tour. However, most of their fans weren't happy about it.

Anyone send in a picture of a line of flag draped coffins yet?

Two or three people on Blabbermouth (who were quickly ganged up on for being preposterously stupid) are equatable to most Lamb of God fans?

No way in hell would you get me to do this. I preferred it when God Forbid wrote a pro-troop song, but LoG is a no-go.

Either a tribute song or asking for pictures like this is a cheap way to to get twisted popular credibility for the band; sponging off the popular worship of the military. Shameful and pathetic.

So I saw Anvil! The story of Anvil last night and I have to say it was the best ''band documentary'' I've ever seen. It was funny, it was sad, and most of all it was very real. It's really sad that they never achieved the success they deserved. Everyone should see it.

Do you read past the first comment on any of these sites? Both times it was one ignorant jackass followed by a few other ignorant jackasses and a vast majority of people calling them out as ignorant jackasses.

Insects in general are full of protein and have very little fat. I wouldn't be surprised if they replaced meat in the future, actually.

Well, candy coated scorpions are sold in the streets of Thailand (and that's only one example of what I'm talking about), so the future might be here already. And hey Llama, don't be like that! I'm pretty sure that, with the right preparation and seasoning, insects would make awesome food :nods:

As part of a wilderness survival course we had to make a meal out of insects and wild berries.

It was awful. Some guy there had Cyan pepper too, so yeah.

High protein low fat foods are the territory of hormonized bodybuilders. As a non-hormonized individual you should be consuming a goodly amount of fats.

Xl's prediction also had me thinking...
If humans begin the mass consumption of bugs, then without a doubt bugs will be injected with all sorts of funky growth hormones. The end result will be something like this.

I do consume a nice measure of fats. I'm just saying that bugs would make very healthy food (which is true).

You won't have to worry about that, though. We'll be fighting them soon enough.

Well, if it helps you in any way, with worms, larvae and such there's no need to bite. You can simply swallow them. Actually, I strongly recommend not biting them.

It's like Planet of the Apes; only instead of intelligent monkeys we'll be enslaved by giant, radioactive cockroaches.

(fun fact: that movie was filmed about ten minutes from my house)

I phrased that poorly, I was trying to get at something along the lines of being afraid of spiders meaning being afraid of bugs / eating them. I need sleep.

Unless it's this C'thulean beast. Ten legs, body simillar to an ant, has FUCKING JAWS WITH SHARP ASS VENOMOUS TEETH, and makes a really annoying hi pitched squeal with it's legs.

Also it can run 10 miles per hour.

That's not an insect either...see the class Arachnida? Insects would be classified under Insecta. Also, they only have 4 leg pairs (8 legs), not five, the forefront ones are pedipalps, and they also appear to be non-venomous except possibly one species in India.

If anyone else needs help differentiating arachnids from insects, you may want to see this.

Dude, If you don't chew them you'll shit blood! Your blood. Or at least that's the case with maggots. I saw it on TV on a show about maggot cheese, so it must be true.

*sound of everyone wondering how you milk maggots*

feeling crappy. Cheered myself up by getting nightwish tickets. From what I've seen Floor is actually capable of singing live, whereas Anette never could.

I'm sick of anything bug related. I live with three girls and they fucking scream if there's a poxy moth or a spider. Usually have to go kill it to get them to STFU. I know they're girls but they're in their twenties goddamit, would think they could handle moths.
