Teenage Bottlerocket - Bitchface

This song amuses me every time I hear it.

Gojira - The Axe

Powerful lyrics and song. Easily one of my favorite Gojira songs written to date.

It's been a quite a night. I've been watching some old documentary about tribal african culture called magnu nuda with the video turned all the way down while listening to metal.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twFWLFJDcDI
So far tonight I have listened to Rippikoulu, Ghost (poland), flotsam and jetsam (debut), funereal, disastrous murmur (debut), iniquity (serenadium). Ripping corpse, Insanity (death after death).
I don't even want to go to bed, but it's like 10:39pm. I could just listen to music all night. I have to stop eventually :(

Ah, yes, I get that feeling, too! Where I want to listen to everything I have. Nice choices with Ripping Corpse and Iniquity. :)

Cool! I haven't listened to this one in a little while for whatever reason but I do like it. I have the previous EP, too.

Binah - Hallucinating In Resurrecture

First listen and I'm wildly impressed. Another reincarnation of dirty death metal but this one sounds like it's catchy in all the right places. I can feel this one getting many listens in the near future! It could be a favourite of 2012, but too early to say just yet.

Between the Buried and Me - The Silent Circus

This album's really starting to grow on me. Mordecai and Ad a Dglgmut are goddamn flawless.

Checkin' out March of Progress for the first time. This song blew me away last week when I heard it in single form, and it sounds just as good in its real form.

Warbringer - Living Weapon

The intro is so loaded with pent-up energy, and I think the moment it releases said energy is masterfully done.

I love this song's opening riff. It reeks of Dehumanizer era Sabbath.

Threshold - Rubicon

This is such an orthodox prog album, but it's so good because the melodies and songs are so tight and well constructed that it doesn't matter. I wish it had heavy-assed songs like "Slipstream" though - that's one thing I miss from their old stuff.

Enslaved - Isa

I find myself lost yet again, utterly mesmerized. I used to think this particular release was slightly overrated, but now I'd place it on the level of Vertebrae and AEO. It's connecting with me in an indescribable way, the way only this band can.

Not too shabby so far. Better production than their brethren Hour Of Penance.

Damn right! Antithesis is a classic, in my books. Probably the best thing Origin will ever do. There are no bad songs anywhere. It just stays strong throughout!

I.N.R.I. is good, but I actually think I prefer Rotting and The Laws Of Scourge more. I believe they got their sound a bit better on those ones.

Totally agree with you on Binah.

It's not as good, admittedly, but I like it. Binah was great! Only listened to it once so far but I was very impressed. I hope future listens will be even better.

Yogsothery - Gate 1: Chaosmogonic Rituals of Fear

I decided to buy this album mostly on a whim just to see what it was like, and it was cheap. I knew I was in for some sort of strangeness considering a big chunk of this split are from unusual ambient bands. I haven't finished my first listen of this yet but I have enjoyed what I've heard so far. Still two more bands to go yet and it could be good, or it could be bad. We'll see.
