I'm new to this site and the forums are totally confusing me. Just wondering who the mods are and how to tell who a mod is so that I can know whether or not something is an official answer or just someone thinking they know everything.

Also, to distinguish between users and mods, there are colour differences on the forums.

Site moderators - This colour
Forum moderators - This colour
The site owners - This colour (or close enough)
Normal users - The same colour as you and I have.

Wellll, it's a bit more complicated than that. Anyone who is a forum mod has a red username, but some people wth red usernames are both site mods and forum mods. As a general rule, if you ask a question about a band and a user with an abnormally-colored username responds, you can assume they have the authority to make such a decision.

Oops! I forgot to mention that forum mods (except the forum enforcers) are site mods as well. Thanks for reminding me. :)
