I haven't posted here much at all, but here is my band, Funeral Age. We recently recorded a music video for our track "Lives For An Eye", which is posted below in the "Filmography" section.

Line up:
Kevin Bedra - Vocals/Guitar
Henry Bale - Guitar
Shevin Mycon - Bass
John Devos - Drums

Funeral Age was original formed as a Thrash Metal band under the name Suicide Culture in 1997 but changed to Funeral Age in 2003 and took a more Black/Death Metal approach.

Bands we have opened for: Cannibal Corpse, Kreator, Vader, Decapitated, Exodus, Enthroned, Destroyer 666, Sadus, Impiety, Gravehill, The Accused, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Possessed, Marduk, 1349, Withered, Weapon, Nile, Dying Fetus, Korpiklaani, Moonsorrow, Gorod, and many more!

Discography:
Fistful of Christ (2003)
Thy Martyrdom Come (2010)

Thanks a lot guys! I am glad you all enjoy. We just played with Korpiklaani/Tyr/Moonsorrow last night and the venue was absolutely packed. Definitely one of the best crowds we have played in front of.

The free stickers were definitely a hit haha.

Thanks dude!

We are adding to our merch list, I ordered some Shot Glasses. They looked pretty cool on the preview, so we'll see how they turn out when they arrive.

Haven't posted on here at all since October, but I figured I'd bring it back for some updates.

For those of you into the Bandcamp website, we have all of our merch up there. You can download our albums for only FIVE dollars each, or order our shirts and physical albums if you are interested.

http://www.funeralage.bandcamp.com

In December we got a new bassist, Victor Hamilton. He is amazing and brings so much more to the band than ever before. Cannot wait to record with him!

We are opening for Gorod on May 31st in Seattle, and then in June we are doing a small Western US tour with our friends Thou Shall Kill. Here is a list of all of our upcoming shows, also available in the main post...

May 31 - Studio 7 - Seattle, WA w/ Gorod
June 1 - Uncle Sams - Spanaway, WA
June 10 - The Hop - Spokane, WA
June 12 - The Shredder - Boise, ID
June 13 - Burt's Tiki Lounge - Salt Lake City, UT
June 15 - The Bushwacker Saloon - Denver, CO
June 24 - 2 Bit Saloon - Seattle, WA

We are roughly looking to record in the Summer time! We have played 3 new songs live and everyone seems to really dig them.

haha, thanks man! Our newest guitarist is a lot more of a Death Metal guy, so I feel that his style really stands out on this song.

UPDATE: Added another date to our mini tour. We will be playing June 16 in Billings, MT at The Railyard.

Wish I used this site more often!

So anyways, for those of you who have kept up with us, our Western US tour we did last month didn't go over too well, broke down on the way to the first show, then the rest of the shows were very under-attended (except for Denver, CO), it was expected though. So all good.

We have been busy working on our new songs, almost have another one down and feeling pretty good about the stuff we have been coming up with. Hopefully I'll be able to post a new track here soon, but we shall wait and see.

We will be opening for Morbid Angel in November, and are SUPER excited for that. Other than that, here are our upcoming shows...

September 13 - The Hop - Spokane, WA
September 14 - The Shredder - Boise, ID
September 15 - The Red Room - Portland, OR
September 16 - 2 Bit Saloon - Seattle, WA
November 1 - McCoy's - Olympia, WA
November 2 - The Red Room - Portland, OR
November 25 - Studio 7 - Seattle, WA w/ Morbid Angel

Oh, Thy Martyrdom Come sounds very interesting, I'll check it out. Hit me up when the new album will be released and I'll write a review. In the meantime, good luck with your next shows.

Some updates for those keeping up with us....

Our bassist of about a year and a half, Victor, had to make the hard decision of leaving the band to take care of his own life, career, and everything else that is easily more important than being in a band. We wish him the best of luck with his future journeys and hope he still rocks later down the road \m/

We picked up a new bassist quite fast after the loss of Victor, Shevin Mycon, who made his debut with us last night for our headlining slot at the WADM Metal Fest here in Washington. We are very excited to see where we go from here, and hope that everything will begin to fall back into place and allow us to play more shows, record our long awaited third album, and hopefully a do successful tour.

Next show we have is going to be with two underground titans, Ceremonial Castings and Drawn & Quartered. The show will be the CD release for Ceremonial's new album "Chtulu". Definitely going to be a fun time! \m/

Both of our full length albums (Fistful of Christ, Thy Martyrdom Come) are now available through Ominous Domain. We are very fortunate to be apart of such a great distro! Ominous has an amazing selection of all things Metal on top of being easy to work with and superb prices! While you're there be sure to pick up Dalla Nebbia's debut, "The Cusp of the Void" as well ;)

Whoa, been 3 years since I posted on here to update the band and everything we've had going on...

I guess to just come out and say it, as of last month I have left Funeral Age and am no long the drummer.

I have been met with a ton of injuries over the last 5+ years and have caused so many setbacks due to them. We were in the process of pre-production for our next album back in February/March and I badly injured my wrist lifting something the wrong way. To this day it is still in pain, but I decided that it would be for the best, not only for the band but also for my own physical health (I'm only 28) to step down and say goodbye.

I can still perform and play, but not the level that is needed for Funeral Age (aka: No intense blast beats).

So yeah, it's been a fun *almost* 11 years, I've shared the stage with a ton of phenomenal bands (Morbid Angel, Possessed, Marduk, 1349, Rotting Christ, Dying Fetus, Nile, Impiety, etc) and released a very killer album in 2010 that to this day still remains one of my favorite albums I have been a part of.

Thanks to everyone that's been a part of the band as a member, fan, reviewer, and everything in between! I'm excited to see where my musical career takes me now.

Sorry for resurreting a dead thread. Has anybody heard from Kevin Bedra recently? Last I knew he was in Brazil. Things are getting hinky down there.
