Anyone know anything like new Lack of Interest? Don't know how to put it into words otherthan catchy power violence?

Now imma join the conversation with my shitty English:

It was interesting to read, that everyone likes DT80K more than Suffering Mind, for I share a completely different opinion. I like DT80K a lot, but I just fucking love how relentless Suffering Mind (and by the way Lycanthrophy) is. I also like the working process of SM more (shitting splits and stuff) And damn, their singer is a girl!

DT80K's album was fucking good, too bad, that their best song ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHWsXMcOmU8 ) wasn't on it, that acceleration could've been a great ending.

So I'm just here to recommend some bands anyway:

Worn Out is a great noisy Magrudergrind-like band from Chicago, and they rip fucking hard. Check out their split with Shackles: http://wornxout.bandcamp.com/album/shac ... -out-split

The other one is Slag, They're from San Jose, and they play some fucked up grind, too. Too bad they only have a demo out: http://slagband.bandcamp.com/

And the only band I know that's similar to Lack of Interest is Uzi Suicide, but they're not that spastic at all.

DT80K's Bolt Thrower influence wins my first place vote, though every other band you mentioned are winners in their own right.

Speaking of winners: Mellow Harsher.

Couldn't hang with Slag... dissonant break down parts are a no no for me.

Worn Out had it's moments, drummer is definitely the selling point imo, but most of the riffs were kinda boring. That first blasting part they go into on "Godless" is nice though and works better for the riffing style their guitar player seems to employ for the most part, wish they did more of that and what they do :23 into Pledge of Enslavement. I actually liked the demo better than the split tracks, especially the production, which fits the style of grindcore/pv they're playing much better than the overly "sharp" sound of the split tracks. Subliminal Society and Thoughtless Action are bangers but condescending straight edge lyrics are pretty much the quickest way to ensure I will never give a band another listen. OH WELL.

Nak'ay rules, I've seen them mentioned a bunch but never got a chance to listen. DDR has one of their tapes for sale, I think I'm gonna go ahead and grab it. It's like my favorite style of crust (fast d-beats that kill the government) mixed with Blasphemy. I think they also have a split with Unholy Grave out too.

Here's one of their "catchier" songs, off of the aforementioned tape that DDR has for sale

These kind of descriptions kill me, sounds like the best band ever, but the Blasphemy comparison is a bit of a stretch as you could say any band that has blast beats and seemingly random screaming. Iskra do this much better if you ask me.

Disappointed to say the least =(

That's where we butt heads, because I love this stuff but am not into Iskra much at all. Of course, the song I linked to looks different within the lot of their other songs as it has that more melodic riff, whereas most of their other material gives off big Fallen Angel of Doom vibes. Then again, I've heard only a few of Iskra's releases (and it's been a while too) so I don't have much of an idea of their sound to compare. But, I do like this a hell of a lot more than I remember liking Iskra.

EDIT: Hmm, seems like the tracks on the tape that DDR has for sale sound a bit different from the other stuff I listened to, so you may have a point. Still rules though!

P.S. -- your "Liquid Gold" mixtape was awesome!

haha, different strokes for different folks. and thanks about the mixtape. I have a "workout" one up my sleeves which is just a lot of mid-paced death metal and beatdown-y PV

Has anyone else heard this? Compilation of American grind/pv bands, lots of good shit here, and most of the bands have bandcamps with free downloads. I'm partial to Decayed Race, Shit Luck, and Grit.

That Beast Plague track kills it. Keeping an eye and a half on those dudes. Everything else ranges from pretty damn cool to "it's alright, I guess."

If was 12, I would agree with you. Sadly, "Beast Plague" is now as cool to me as "Necroblood Knightslayer" is.

eyehategod is a great name.

I like Beast Plague.

If i get around to doing some blackened grind shits I have to go with Necroblood Knightslayer as a name. It's so over the top it's perfect

Check out Beatriz Carnicero if you guys haven't already. Band's from Urugauy but sounds like straight up vintage slap a ham pv (less frantic and Japanese sounding fuck on the beach meets Spazz). Really good and the only thing I know of from Urugauy.

Here's my review with streaming shit

A lot of shows happening near me including pig destroyer. Not sure if I should bother as they've never done much outside of Prowler that I really like. Anyone listen to the other tracks off of fahrenheit 451? Any good? I just want that short story to be honest, prowler has some of my favorite lyrics.

Oh, and column of heaven review up on Perpetual Strife, very similar uncomfortable vibe to Prowler if you haven't listened yet.

I'm not sure if this is the right thread, since you can't really put Cephalic Carnage in a specific genre. Anyway, I'm looking for something as close as possible to their album Anomalies, I like their other albums too but Lucid Interval was too grind-y for my taste and everything after Anomalies I didn't really like the high-pitched guitars. I like clean production, so nothing too vague if possible. I'm very picky when it comes to music, but since Anomalies is probably my favourite album of all time, I thought I'd atleast try. I'm probably too specific and since Anomalies is extremely diverse there may be nothing like it.

Clean grindcore that's not really grindy. Misery Index should be a good fit, anyhting including and past their second album Discordia.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2aBXIPZUlx4

For the more wank/deathcore aspect check out The Red Chord's first album, I absolutely love it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4P96ARjrP8

as well as Creation is Crucifixion

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aZ3H4mu6 ... re=related

Crowpath who add a dose of prog to their grindcore.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4YgzhDI ... ure=relmfu

Gridlink mix guitar wizardry and grind quite well. Not pretentious and wanky.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TfqgZLR5 ... re=related

As does Noisear

Book Burner's streaming now.

http://www.npr.org/player/v2/mediaPlaye ... =162669470

Not sure what I think. Sounds better than Terrifyer (almost anything would) and the songs are shorter which is a big plus. Kat from Salome/AxNB helps out on songs too which is nice. The production's still too clean and Jarvis's kit/style sounds too pristine and techy for me. If it was a different band I could swallow it, but it's just too ordinary sounding. I think I'm the only one who dislikes Hull's production style.

It looks more and more like Prowler... was a mistake, they stumbled into godliness and stuff like this and Phantom Boner is what we should expect.
