Many of the idle reports in the queue are marked as unassigned and simply have a comment saying "Source?". It would be useful to add a separate status for reports that need a source, for a few reasons:

-Rather than simply saying "source?", an automatic comment could by added much like "> The user has requested moderator attention on this report." - for this, it could be "> This requires a verifiable source, such as the band's official web page or a scan/picture of a release." - this would reduce confusion and needing to explain how to provide evidence.
-When glancing at the report queue, another color for these reports could tell us which reports had already been checked, but were pending reply and could not be resolved immediately.
-Moderators could clear dead reports after a certain amount of time with no reply, with a message like Derigin's queue-clearing "please re-report this with a source if you have it".

This could increase the efficiency of the legion of queue-clearers and save the moderators thousands of mana points per month that are spent dispelling confusion.

I REALLY like this idea a lot. It's a shame however that you didn't make this thread one day earlier , if you had you'd probably have got the award of "the best suggestion in August". I think this would make the report queue a lot easier, I really hope this idea comes to life.

I just wish people would include sources in the first place. I get sick of searching for info myself that I tend to just type "Source?" if there is none listed.

Edit: To contribute to the topic of the thread, I think we could open up a new tab for reports that have replies instead of changing the color, I think it'd be easier to sort.
