Ok, so it's definitely metal, but I'm not sure what type it would be classified as. It's not like I can't play without having a title, but it IS useful when trying to explain what kind of music you play to someone! If you'd like to help me out, please visit http://www.reverbnation.com/psychobliss This is no joke, I can't put a finger on it...

The music I've written is a lot like the 2 songs I have online, but some are heavier, leaning more towards straight up black metal. Thanks a lot for the help... Also, if you like what you hear, like us on Facebook.

It wasn't that bad but the vocals were awful and the lyrics were laughable. Work on it more. Unfortunately I have no idea what it is either.

Yeah the vocals are dreadful, male vocals that is. I actually find the interaction between guitar and female vocals quite interesting though.

I... I think I really like this...
it's so allllmost good.
it's like... if Amy Lee decided to be in a doom metal band that was trying to be a dsbm band. with power metal influences. wtf.

I think you should work on your sound a lil more, and go in a more dsbm direction. the instrumentals would work well with it from what I hear so far. keep what you're doing, but yeah go in towards dsbm :3 I think it'd work really well.

I'm glad somebody here enjoyed it a little bit. lol

 I got a good laugh out of some of your comments. I hope you're not thinking the male whispering-sounding stuff is an attempt at screaming, because it's really not at all. As for the vocals in general, it's something I'm still working on. I'm trying to get a hold of better equipment and programs for processing vocals. Thanks though for the criticism, even though I didn't ask for it.

Can you put a finger on the genre? I'm liking that it's hard to define I guess, but I dunno.

I enjoyed it especially the track "The Coldest Years" The female vocals which I found to be very relaxing and worked well with the guitar work. The drums sound a bit plastic but overall it was enjoyable.

Just thought the lyrics seemed quite juvenile on the lyric video I watched. The vocals (The male, the female's was fine) just seemed to drone on in a monotone voice that reminded me of LuLu. Other than that it would probably something I would buy, was nice and atmospheric.

I've been going between very atmospheric stuff like "The Coldest Years" and more mainstream stuff like some of my other unreleased songs. The Coldest Years is kinda like the mix of atmospheric music and mainstream lyrics. I have another song that's unreleased so far, but it's more depressive than The Coldest Years, I think.

Some of my other unreleased songs are less concentrated on the atmosphere of the song, but more so on the "singability". I'm trying to make something well-rounded without straying too far from a middle ground, but I'm unsure what the middle ground is. lol

This is a hard one to label. Maybe gothic black metal? Or Melodic DSBM?

Whatever the style is, it's got alot of potential. Keep at it!

Thanks, that means a lot to me! We're doing what we can to sharpen our sound, but we're off to a good start already, I think. We're on ReverbNation, and we're ranked #94 in the Phoenix area, and we haven't even had an official EP release or played any shows. If any of you like what we're doing, make sure you stop by our Facebook page and "like" us--It would be greatly appreciated!

glad I'm not the only one that hears a lot of DSBM in their sound lol

I agree, lots of potential. I'm curious as to where you'll go with your sound. Think I'll keep an eye on you haha
