Ok, thanks :)

And I agree with both SatanicPotato and IntoNevermore, Make Them Suffer are great.

Yeah man, MTS are really good, can't wait for the record to drop, and make sure to listen to those bands in Indecency's post :-P

Now for ABR, Misery Signals may be of your like.

So far the albums that have stood out to me among the rest in either the metalcore/deathcore scene are:

Heart of a Coward - Hope and Hindrance

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cw8VXmbBbxM

Veil of Maya - Eclipse

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bT96SClmL38

Slice the Cake - The Man with no Face

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTTwAf4edeQ

The Korea - The Chariot of the Gods

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hoH2ZTgJYd8

My MOST ANTICIPATED though are the upcoming albums of As I Lay Dying (favorite band btw) and Born of Osiris' new one, The Discovery was my best album of last year, such a great release and judging by the snippets they have released so far, the new record will still have those sick solos and rhythms.

actually agree with that when i first heard the album it pretty much all sounded the same but Elegies definently has stood out to me

also i have not heard too many of the lyrics but i heard the entire album tells a story and lyrically it seems to be one of the better albums

also did weeping wastelands change at all from the EP?

Hmm... interesting, I'll be paying some more attention then. Also, Wepping Wasteland didn't seemed to change at all, apart from the guitar production I guess, not really sure though.

The only thing I'm sure about, when it comes to Weeping Wastelands, is that the vocal's a bit different between the EP and the full-length. Is it just me or is the end of the song a bit different too?

I already know the "essential" mathcore bands so I'm looking for something a bit more obscure. I'm looking for something with good production, but still with absolutely insane technical ability, but I want clarity as well. I'm not looking for a wall of noise, I want to hear every note. I'd really like for the vocals to be relatively easy to make out as well. I also really love it when the music trades in the mathcore for some straightforward hardcore/metal parts.

I'm looking for some deathcore that has a very tight rhythm section and is not sloppy. I'm not looking for technical proficiency but I am looking for catchy songwriting and hooks. I'm not really into pig squeals and would prefer vocals more akin to Whitechapel than Job for a Cowboy.

I think the band Moker is pretty tight in the rhythm department, but to each his own opinion ofcourse, bit difficult to say if they're sloppy or not

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQKM-UYOFVg

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yamXEAW0 ... ure=relmfu

also try out the more technical and melodic Crimson Falls

The similar artists tab should give you a few answers for JFAC and TAIM, but I'm also going to recommend Illuminations:

I know this is maybe a little too late to respond, but their latest, Awake is pretty good. I'm trying to go through their discog too at the mo.

Not sure if this is to obvious or not, but what about "Into the Moat" or "Ion Dissonance"??

I'm looking for deathcore bands that do not rely completely on breakdowns and more melody. I prefer that vocals are growled more than screamed. A band that I would not prefer would be Job for a Cowboy, and more like Molotov Solution.

Why is The Faceless not firmly entrenched in the Deathcore/Metalcore genre? I ask this seriously, after listening to parts of their new album last night and also previously seeing them live.

I'm not sure I understand the question. They're pretty much a tech death/deathcore band.

even though i really dont like em, they should be on MA imo, just like thousands of crappy goregrind bands on the MA, yes they suck but they're still extreme metal enough to be on the MA. But that's just my view on the matter..

I beg to differ. Their music consists of a lot of one-note chugs, closer to hardcore than metal.

Can anyone find bands like Bleed from Within and Regain the Legacy? Cleans vocals are absolutely welcome in this rec, but not required, and breakdowns should be kept to a minimum.

Nope, too many breakdowns, and the vocals weren't too good. Current Black Dahlia Murder also fits the recommendation now that I think about it.

Why don't I clarify my query:
-Metalcore closer to metal.
-Clean vocals are not required but not disallowed.
-Breakdowns should be kept to a minimum (A.K.A. 1 or less per song)

Thanks for the reply.

Im not buyin that. Im listening to quarantine right now and it sounds METAL. Doesn't matter if there is chugs. There are other deathcore bands here with similar sound and they are fine? Unless MA has a personal grudge with the band, they deserve to be on here.

There's a breakdown in the middle but it's a melodic one so it's not too bad.

There really aren't very many bands like that, and others (Job for a Cowboy, Thy Art is Murder) changed their sound at one point or another. Just because they are on the archives doesn't make them metal, an example of this being the eight non-metal neofolk bands on the archives.
