The bare facts are that Skewered are an Irish death metal band. Thrown into sub-categories such as 'brutal death metal', 'slamming death metal' and 'death metal with emphasis on grooves'. Simply put - it's death metal (with some satirical lyrics and head-bobbing grooves).

After the album release and departure of the original bassist (Sal), Dave (from Guttrench) and I joined and we immediately began writing new material, going in some new directions with new influences being brought into the music.

Since then we have shared the stage with Beheaded and have been invited to play with them at this year's Malta Death Fest (Alongside the aforementioned, Abysmal Torment, our neighbours in Zombified, Carnal Decay and many more) in September. Previous gigs had Skewered sharing the stage with Prostitute Disfigurement, Unleashed and Desecration to name a few.
