I would like to hear some more spacey deathcore that is technical. By this I mean not heavy the entire time and the entire focus isnt on being brutal. I would like it to be pretty atmospheric for the most part. bands that just chug chug and breakdown the whole time are not what I want.

Please none of this typical deathcore stuff like White Chapel, Thy Art is Murder, Suicide Silence those are not what I am looking for.

I am well aware of space being common in tech death genres. That being said please refrain from leaving the core area. Bands like Augury and Obscura do not fit what I want although I do love both

Band I listen to and that fit the desription

The Contortionist
Aegaeon
Fallujah

Aristeia and Entities both instantly come to mind, but given that both are also within the djent spectrum, the chug may be too prevalent in their sound for you to enjoy. They're also very young acts. Nevertheless, you never know. I'd suggest giving them a try regardless.

The Faceless seem to fit this thread rather nicely, though you probably know them already...

Rings of Saturn is probably exactly what you're after, surprised you didn't mention them/don't know 'em.

I know of both the faceless and Rings of saturn. Both are amazing, I guess i didn't mention either because they are closer to technical death metal in my opinion even though they are deathcore.

I suggest Burning the Masses. It's like the Faceless but more -core. Beyond Mortality is more -core than Burning the Masses.

Planetary Duality has almost no breakdowns. Offspring of Time has a few, but they are quite appropriate. From that one track I heard off Autotheism, it seems like the Faceless is continuing in the progressive death direction, with more vocoder and less chug.

We are the Illusion is djenty, but not too much. It is pretty technical with atmosphere and some soft sections.

Allius unfortunately has only one song right now, but they are going to start recording new stuff in a couple days. Instrumental and very djenty, but it's one song so we really don't know what direction this band will take...

Lord of War is labeled "atmospheric melodic death metal/deathcore." Quite a label, it has it's share of breakdowns and overall core-ness.

Born of Osiris might be up your alley. I'm sure their keys help though. The guitars have a lot of technical shit thrown in and there's not a whole lot of straight up chugging going on without at least something else in the music happening besides the vocals.
