I'll give this a shot.

I think it might be interesting to have a communal review: might lead to something interesting, might lead to a clusterfuck, but Metal's about putting it out there.

Someone picks an Album, starts with the review title and a few sentences of introduction, then someone else picks up the next few sentecnes, and so on and so on....
I guess we could or could not decide on the rating After the game feels done..up to the participants.

A lot of famous authors have tried the technique and it can lead to some entertaining and interesting results.

I've got a couple of albums in mind to start, but I'd really prefer for someone else to start the show.

A review is highly subjective, I don't think it's a good idea. The Mini Review game is a success though.

Worst case scenario: the thread gets locked, the board gets taken down, the MA server explodes.

You may remember Alf Svensson as the guy from At The Gates who left around the time they started writing concept albums about orgasms achieved through homosexual intercourse. Judging from the cover artwork of his black metal project Oxiplegatz' first album, aiming to both radically emancipate himself from the former and to honor his childhood idol James T. Kirk, he promptly proceeded to write albums about orgasms achieved through interspecial (interspacial?) intercourse.
