Flyer for the Portland show is about done. Advance tickets for that show will be available as well shortly.

I saw Knelt Rote in the fall last year. Great band! Portland is lucky to have them on the bill (have them in general). I was going to fly from Vancouver BC to NY to see Grave Miasma and Dead Congregation, you can guess my bank account and I were pretty damn happy when this west coast tour was added even though I will be unfortunately missing Prosanctus Inferi at Martyrdoom Fest. I do wish the Seattle and Portland dates were closer together so I could do both :(

There will be several Canadians from Vancouver heading down for the Seattle date.

Pretty sure I'm gonna have to hit up that Portland show. Never seen them. Love them. It doesn't seem like they tour that much - at least not that I've seen, which makes me want to take advantage of this.

As the tour began last night i figured this was worth bumping. Tonight in Portland, Thursday in San Francisco at Submission with Dispirit, Friday in Oakland with Mortuous, vastum, and Apocraphon at the Metro small room.

here is some nice footage of DC and GM from last weekend in New York

There is a serious lack of Los Angeles on that bill.

And I haven't seen Anhedonist since I moved away from Seattle :(

Yeah, lots of people have been wishing LA was included, but I think a combination of limited time the touring bands could be out of town, long distance to travel, and LA promoters historically either booking venues that get shut down, or not adequately paying the touring bands lead to skipping LA this time. Anhedonist play the Bay Area pretty often though, you could trade them your 6 hour drive for their 12 hour drive :P

The bay area would be about sixteen hours round trip for me; I live out in the desert. It would simply be easier catching them the next time I visit the folks back in Seattle.

Check out this sweet, sweet lineup: http://www.party-san.de/bands-2012/
Pure boner material. Except the tear I have to shed for Deicide's canceled gig. But aside from that...
I'll barely have time to get drunk, but Dead Congregation is certainly one of the bands I'll go watch.

BIG fuckin' props to all the bands that smashed hard at the Metro. That was a good show. The sound was ass, but as far as I could tell that wasn't their fault. All worked hard and I really enjoyed myself. Thanks for putting up such a good show. Grave Miasma was my personal favorite. Their atmosphere is effective as hell.

It's good to see them touring with Grave Miasma. Hopefully, this growing trend will eventually kick start a new death metal movement to sieze the genre back from moronic slam and tech pretenders.

Er... have you been sleeping through the current trend of "old school" "dark" death metal that's been polluting the releases as of late?
