Wow, so I'm on break at work right now and I just tried to go out back for a smoke but what I didn't know is that if the key isn't in the back door then the alarm goes off... So I set this alarm off which is louder than any metal concert I've ever been to and I just stand there completely stunned as my co-worker runs up behind me to turn the alarm off. It was really embarrassing since I'm still a fairly new employee and still make all sorts of dumb mistakes, but oh well. You learn something new every day!

A couple people have locked themselves on the roof at my work and had to spend the night there. That must have been just infuriating.

They also do the back-breaking labor that no American will touch with a 10-foot pole, so it evens out.

And to Mr Frog, that is some harsh hours, mate, and I know from experience that it will wear you down physically and mentally, so good luck! Plenty of coffee energy drinks and sex will keep you on the ball

Really? being a bus boy is that hard? I had no Idea.
Honestly though you shouldn't judge like that, most immigrants where I live work at restaurant's or gas stations so, very little back breaking labor going on down here by anyone darker than khaki. It's all regional though, somewhere a kid gets a lollipop, 10 miles away another kid has to watch his mom get raped, it's the way of the world.

No one should have to do poorly paid, long hours/back breaking work, while people are there to be exploited nothing will change.

Dis sigged.

Also, gots myself a 40k Space Wolves battleforce yesterday. Cracked it open to test out this glue (Loctite Liquid Control) that I got from a place that wasn't at the game store and the proprietor had no idea if it was reliable. So the bad news for him is that I'm not going to buy glue from his store.

Gluing is actually not as difficult as I thought it would be. The bitch is getting those damn pieces out of the frames.

I'm taking it you're new to wargaming, in which case I bear some sage wisdom.

Unless you want to hate your beginnings years later, basic stuff. Remove mold lines or you'll hate yourself.

Pre-ordering the new Gargoyle album today. Still very interested in what they're gonna do with this one... It could be experimental, refreshing, more of the same or a horrible failure. Time will tell!

Don't jynx it, brah! Besides, when a band releases an entire album of re-recorded, re-imagined songs, I think its best to go in expecting that there is a chance of failure. It's a ballsy move.

If there is rain tomorrow, I might modify my vague memories on Cthulhu Now into a post-apocalyptic Fallout emulation for the kids. Playing something would be nice if we get stuck in the hotel for the day.

I did get an old-skool Monopoly on the way here just in case, though. And a shitload of beer and potato chips. Plan ahead, youngsters!

Hope you survive long enough to make it to NY! There is bourbon at the end of that road.

Having gone through the job search here in New York, I have to say it's anything but easy, so it's great that you've got a promising prospect. :)

EDIT: Pahaha, the Manowar's New Album thread is hilarious. It's like a bunch of guys gathered in a hospital room around a vegetative old man, debating whether or not he can still get it up anymore and waiting to see if he can.

Actually, I like those hours/days. That is, if I actually get paid properly for them. I sometimes work six or seven days a week at 12+ hours and I really like those usually. Keeps one busy, occupied and sharp at work. The overtime pay doesn't hurt one bit.

lol you are sheltered as fuck. I know many more people who make a living doing that back breaking work. legal residents who pay taxes and have to get their own health insurance.

Really stop being so ignorant and regurgitating the same biased bullshit that mainstream media tries to shove down your throat. Really I don't think we can have any sort of intelligent conversation about this. I'll just go on and block you before you say something else so incorrect.
