All I can say is fuck yeah. I was so distraught that I missed Maryland Deathfest to see the mighty Morbid Angel's return to the states. This makes up for it. I should be away at school during the NY date but I will make a point to come back just for this show. I owe it to myself and MA for being my first death metal band.

I'm trying to get one of my bands on the bill for the Pittsburgh date. Nevertheless I'm going regardless. Should be an amazing night.

I never thought I would get the chance to see Grave live. I won't be the first to say it but I really hope they don't play anything new.

If tickets aren't too much, I'll consider going to the date in Anaheim. Any one of those bands headlining by themselves I wouldn't even bother but this looks fun.

Tickets for Atlanta are $20. They were good enough at MDF for me to drive a couple hours to Atlanta to see them again for that price.

I'll try to hit the Montréal date too, for sure. Not certain it will be only 20 bucks though, I hope so!

Time to make new friends lol.

I'll be at the DC show. Morbid was a ton of fun at MDF. I'm sure Grave will kick ass. This will be my first time seeing them and Dark Funeral. I don't have high hopes for DF though.

I'd love to see Grave even if it is only the one constant member. I have all their CDs.

the first and only dark funeral i've ever heard was their live album [which i bought last week] i thought it wasn't bad, do you not like them or are they not too flash live?
http://www.discogs.com/Dark-Funeral-De-Profundis-Clamavi-Ad-Te-Domine/release/438634

i prefer gigging alone, i can go to the gig when i want, do what i like when i'm there, leave when i like etc, plus i can't talk while the bands are playing
sounds like something someone with no mates would say aye ha ha

Looks like I'll go to the NYC show! Grave should be a good opener, I don't care for Dark Funeral.

If it makes you feel any better, they had a lot of sound problems, were delayed, and played the last few songs without Trey. It was not a good night for them.

Good lineup, good songs from each band (Not sure about Dark funeral), count me in and its a better lineup overall that Kreator and Accept.

The Secrets of the Black arts was one of the first three bm albums I heard back when I was fourteen. It's decent for what it is but the band raped the blast beat formula even more so than Marduk, and have made themselves a laughing stock of the black metal scene as a result.

It's not just you. I can't tell the difference between them and 1349 and a lot of overproduced black metal bands with constant blast beats.

The difference is that 1349 has more than two riffs per album. And they don't suck! :p

It's weird. I think Dark Funeral writes a good share of good riffs and have made some very decent albums/tracks, but as a whole the band lacks something to be really, really good.

I think they have/had very good musicians (Masse was always an excellent vocalist, Ahriman plays very well and writes fine riffs, Matte's drumming was been always very good and Dominator it's no slouch either), maybe it's the 'Marduk syndrome' of playing relentlessly fast (I think they have noticed the same and have been changing that a little bit since Mortuus joined), thus giving a very monotonous feel about their overall work. From the last album, My Funeral was a great song that lacked just a more organic production to be excellent - I love the riffs on that one.

I like Dark Funeral. Not sure why they get so much disrespect. Attera Totus Sanctus was a great album in my opinion. Matte Modin is a very underrated drummer.

I have a feeling a lot of people will skip this tour out of hatred for Illud Divinum Insanus, even though their sets have been mainly focused on Altars of Madness and Covenant. Their loss. And Grave was awesome last year, so I'm looking forward to seeing them again.

Maryland Deathfest was really only a return to the East Coast. They played in LA in 2009 and twice last year.

Hmm, anyone here has been in a Morbid Angel concert recently? What are the songs that gets played the most?

i saw a set list [maybe even posted in here] and apart from existo vulgore and evermore it looked to be a good mix of altars, blessed and covenant and from memory they played domination [the song] too.

At MDF they played half of Altars, a bunch from Covenant, Fall from Grace (from Blessed), and two new songs.

I would really like to see one of the hated songs from Illud - Radikult, I Am Morbid, or Too Extreme. It's not going to kill anyone, although most people will act like it did.

Funny too, I thought for sure they would play those three tracks because all three are clearly intended to be crowd-participatory, anthemic fist pumpers. I thought that was the whole idea of Illud and why it sounded so bad on the album itself.

Im going to try to go to the Sacramento or San Francisco show. I'd have to take off of work however, and I don't think its really worth it since the Illud album came out. I feel like I'd be supporting them after their new "direction." And I am not too cool with it.
