Says you, I think the bluesy influence of Witch Mountain is awesome. If I remember correctly, you're the one who said Nasum wasn't grindcore, so yeah...

An artist pays tribute to his dead cat by turning him into a helicopter. I find it creepy but touching at the same time. Any thoughts?

I can only imagine the horrified yet intrigued stares of little children at a park where that thing is flown, and how they remark to their mommies and daddies that there is a "flying pussy-cat over there".

I find that extremely distasteful and would love to see the artist get his head sawn off.

That flying cat thing is both hilarious and so, so damn wrong. I mean WTF kind of retarded brain-mash could come up with that? That's the stupidest thing I have seen in a long time.

Wow. Catcopter is totally wrong, but at the same time, totally awesome. I fully support corpse recycling and/or display. When I went the the Warhol museum, the only thing I remembered from it was his stuffed dog. I decided I should do that with mine someday, but when my dog died I didn't have the money right then. Oh well.

Make sure to put in your will that this must be done; or all your income and worldly possessions be donated to charity.

If we are to believe what the cat's owner stated, he did this as a tribute to the cat, albeit a bizarre tribute. So I really don't see anything too wrong with it other than that it is a little creepy. Besides, I don't think he intends to fly it around the park or anything.

I could make a derogatory comment about penal colonies, but then I remembered that I used to live in Australia too. :|

:ugh: I was gonna do it, iAm, but then I realised that the colons in America weren't much better and that a lot of Acadians were deported in Australia. Still, we're cooler than the Straylians and their koalas.

I think the colons in America are quite awful... especially with all of the fast food people eat around here.

At least the doctors who do colonoscopies and treat colon cancer are getting rich up here because of it.

I just had my colon checked out and it's fine. Can't say much for the rest of the country, though.

I agree. I don't care that it's a tribute or recycled art or WHATEVER. I may have no standards otherwise, but you gotta draw the line somewhere... and I choose to make my stand at dead pets being made into helicopters.

So after all the talk about Inverloch on the FFA a while back I finally decided to listen to Disembowelment... Where have they been all my life? 'Transcendence into the Peripheral' is a bloody masterpiece; A Burial at Ornans especially is one of the most incredible songs I've heard in recent times. Good grief. And they're natives of the city I'm living in now; I feel the opportunity for one of those brilliantly awkward band encounters on the horizon.

Disembowelment has been there... waiting for you to wake up and discover their awesomeness.

and on a side note I know I ordered that Inverloch cd & vinyl... and after waiting a couple of weeks after the release I went back through and found out that I didn't.. I guess I didn't it's not on my credit card anywhere, didn't go through my bank account nor paypal. But I swear to god I bought it. I must have been tired as hell that night.

Man, if the new Accept had a less stuffy, mechanical production it'd be one of my top 5 this year for sure. Rocking tunes though.

Hey Empyreal, I was reading a review of yours one time for some old death metal band that released one album, you gave it a really high rating and started talking about the wonders of finding new bands or something like that... I remember the band being really good but forgot the name. You remember what it is?

Also, anybody heard the new Grand Magus? Thought that the band was pretty popular around these parts, yet I haven't seen anybody mention it.

Disembowelment are good except for those slow parts where they forget to play music.

Yeah, but I loved the production on the Hell album for some reason, so I don't know, I thought the production on this new Accept would age better with time I guess.

@GrandMagus, I thought it was unmemorable as hell, I stopped the album after the 5 or 6 songs. Haven't heard the one before it though, but Iron Will is pretty great. Maybe they'll releasing too many albums?

IAV, you KNOW it and I KNOW it. Just compare our post count, I win!

Oh, the humour, I am slain... Seriously, though, it's doom-death; slow parts are kinda part of the job description. I rather like those myself, though I do admit to fast-forwarding through 'Nightside at Eden'.

Ahem... A creature that sleeps most of the day, looks like a bear but isn't one, makes a sound like an angry moose if you do wake it, and is dying out because too much unnecessary mating (chiefly due to the males, who apparently have lost their natural ability to curb their sex-drive and focus on survival) has resulted in an STD wiping out most of the population. How is that not cool?
