Hi anyone here like this band?I hear there newer stuff will be a good bit heavier which i dont like the sound of that as im not into too heavy of stuff. They said they were tired of being a Kreator clone. If they were ashamed of playing that style then why play it to begin with.lol

You should at least, I don't know include some links to make the thread a tad better. Watch the grammar too, MA isn't MSN.

Those sounds you hear aren't the band, that's me hitting my head against my desk after reading this thread.

Did you know that you can edit your posts so you don't make two consecutive posts a minute apart, each with only one line? Because....

It's not hard to find links pertaining to a band, a YouTube search turns up what appears to be the majority of the band's discography! Here's a few songs:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Ne6CtRPjVw

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQXj6RY4VIA

Sounds like fairly uninspired rough thrash. The riffs aren't memorable at all, and the songwriting is nothing special. I could see how they've gotten tired of being a Kreator clone, I've gotten tired of them in under two songs. It's not really bad, it's just another modern thrash band that's more or less a soulless clone of another band that did the same thing much better a few decades before them. I'll sweep them into the dustbin next to Municipal Waste and Havok.

Come on, you're not going to include your thoughts on the music? I even linked it!

Dude, if you ever have had a chance to see Havok live, do it! They are awesome to watch live. Excellent band and musicians and I'm not really a huge thrash person.

I give neo-thrash a ton of crap, because it's mostly uninspired mediocre music done better before. Havok is an exception, because with Time is Up, IMO, they gained their own style, and while still not exactly being original, they have a style that is theirs, which most neo-thrash groups can't claim. But anyway, yeah, they kill live. When I saw them last year, they blew my face off, and stole the entire show. They didn't play Scumbag in Disguise though, which is my favorite song of theirs.

Avenger of Blood is decent Pleasure to Kill worship though there are quite a few bands mimicking that style like Deathraiser and Fastkill (apart from the vocals). I'd be interested in hearing new stuff but any heavier may not be a good idea.

Wait, what? Did you edit my post and take out my opinion? Or did I dream that up and never included it originally? Anyway!

Avenger Of Blood is pretty alright. I don't remember a whole lot of their first album, except it maybe had shitty production, but I really like Death Brigade. Good shit.

Uh, what? Deathraiser and by extension, FastKill, are much closer to Gammacide and Attomica. When people make these kind of silly statements, I think they end up misremember what Pleasure To Kill sounds like. That album has way more melody than people actually give it credit for. 'Ripping Corpse' is a pretty singular track, which seems to be mostly where this sentiment of Pleasure To Kill comes from. Most of the other tracks sound vastly different.

Never really liked them very much. A band I really wanted to like was Strike Master but for some reason they always let me down despite their extreme enthusiasm. For new thrash metal the best stuff for me was the demo of Pyoveli "Feel the Razor", Hypnosia: Extreme Hatred, Dohiemsgard: Monumental Possession, anything by Aura Noir, anything by Audio Pain ( another norway thrash metal band ), both the demo and full lengeth of Wardeth, and the Jesters Vengence Demo by the Chilean band Bad Joke. Check that stuff out, all killer. Most material released from the heavy artillery lable is image over quality and really bad rehash devoid of any soul, if I am not mistaken the lable is tied to punk core records which did the same in that genra as well, Avenger of Blood were maybe one of the worst from that lable.

Hypnosia's been around since 1995, dude. They are hardly part of the new crowd of thrash metal.

Hypnosia broke up like 10 years ago too, IIRC. They're definitely the best Kreator copycat I ever heard, but they're not new enough to be part of the present revivalist crowd, nor are they old enough to be retro. They're like Blistered Earth; semi-forgotten thrash band from a time when new thrash was comparatively rare.

"In response to FasterDisaster"

So have most of the bands I listed............oh yeah that reminds the singer bass player of Hypnosia had another band called Incinerator with a great demo called Diciples of Sodom in 2003, way better then the ep they did! Your useless comment helped me remeber that, I guess it wasn't a waste of time for me read it after all!
