God Is Myth has launched a collection of records based on Lovecraft's stories; some should be worth a listen, I guess:

also, check Aarni and the split they contributed to: TRIBUTE TO H.P. LOVECRAFT/ YOGSOTHERY - Gate I : Chaosmogonic Rituals Of Fear

Thing is, Suicide Silence actually are more sonically massive than a good 95% of all the death metal bands in the Archives! Not metal, sure, but definitely a lot more brutal.

Morbid Angel has a Cthulhu-themed song, "Lords of All Fevers and Plague", on Altars of Madness, referring the Great Old One of Ninnghizhidda.

To the guy above me: Morbid Angel has more songs referring to the cthulhu mythos and they are influenced by Simon Necronomicon which makes a connection between Lovecraftian gods and the sumerian gods so it's a bit pointless to mention Morbid Angel in my opinion. Other songs include (some of the more obvious but oh well) "ANgel of Disease" and "The Ancient Ones".

As for my contribution to the topic: There is a swedish band called Puteraeon http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Puteraeon/126259 which plays old school swedish death metal with lyrics about Lovecraftian gods and so forth. I havent listened to them myself though. Then you have Tyrann from Norway a side project of Seidemann from 1349 and plays death/thrash. Personally I think they are decent, but you might like them. There is many more of course, but this is what I can think of at the moment.

Just to point it our. The reason I mentioned other MA songs is because I wanted to show proof for my claim about MA's lyrical content.

Just in case it hasn't been mentioned yet, I'd like to point to Dawn of Relic's "Lovecraftian Dark" album, quite decent melodic black-/death metal, with some catchy riffs.

Full album can be streamed here:

The french Doom/Death Metal band Catacomb released 2 very good demos with Lovecraftian themes: The Lurker at the Threshold and In the Maze of Kadath.
