Hi Metalheads

So some friend showed me a very cool instrumental from Death, "Voices of the Soul" i really liked it, so raw, so pure, so full of emotion...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qd4q0Xx-u1Y

So i was wondering if some other bands do some stuff like that sometimes.
The most similar i have is Acoustic Medley (In Flames), but it doesn't have....the "old school" factor if you understand what i mean.

Can somebody gimme me some suggestions of any similar instrumental?

Thanks for the help dudes x)

"Mitt Hjerte" by Antestor

Mitt Hjerte = My Heart

This song is a bit more "powerful" than the song you posted, especially at the end, but I think it comes close.

"Burdened With All That Tires" by Thy Withering Orchard

This song has some vocals in it, but not a lot. This song also makes me feel tired. I don't know why. Does it do that for you?

Hi mate.

Amazing instrumental indeed, and yes not quite what i want, but anyway, very cool to listen :')

Thy Withering Orchad sounds original actually, pretty atmospheric. It makes me imagine, like reaching to some sky castle in some kind of ancient ship, i'm so wierd...

Well, thank you so much for sharing :)

I used to have a crush for Post-rock some years ago. I know a few cool bands, but never heard about Codes in The Clouds and Lights out Asian. Codes in the clouds, awesomely sweet. Lights out Asia, not as cool as i thought xD I really like Explosions in the Sky by the way, and a little of If These Trees Could Talk.
But i'm here for the Metal instrumental, but thanks for the recommendations!

I really loved Neuraxis, it was so bad that the music ended before the actually end of the video, meh.

Lord Belial's "Forlorn in Silence" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tL9Zy7uiRp0), Hallows Eve's "Obituary" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MofsDXPVi8s), Nile's "Dusk Falls Upon the Temple of the Serpent on the Mount of Sunrise" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWu_hVV7m0Q), and Behemoth's "The Touch of Nya" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_oXxV_x4 ... ure=relmfu). Although most of these are short, they're quality acoustic moments for metal artists- still something you should enjoy.

Hi Zodijackyl :)

I need some time to listen to your Darkest Hour recomendations. Althrough it's not what i am looking for, but sure seems worth to listen.

Sacrilege sounds pretty cool, i think some friend of mine told me about something of this band that i would like, maybe that's this 2 tracks.

Thanks for the help! :)

No problem dude, I've come with more.

In Flames has a ton of other good instrumentals aside from the one Zodijackyl mentioned.

Ketzer's Farewell, Fade Away perhaps? It's a bit different from the other stuff you liked from me, but it can't hurt to try, right?
It's the first 2 minutes of this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9rgjDwOWYbY

Lantern's Beyond the Effulgence off their EP "Subterranean Effulgence" will work, too:
EDIT2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHr1wP-TFiQ

How about Man Must Die's What I Can't Take Back?

...and last, but sure as hell not least, Vale of Pnath's Poisoned by Prosperity contains so much win.

Hope this helps some more :)

EDIT: Seconding the instrumentals from Insomnium and Darkest Hour as well.

Most if your links are gold to me. Of course, some of your recomendations, isn't what i'm looking, but still worth to listen and, who knows, buy the album. Ketzer's Farewell for example, the whole music is pretty cool

Prosperity The Prodigal Empire, sweet mother nature, amazing, just amazing....
