Apart from the drums being overpowering and the vocals slightly overdone, it seems to be somewhat of a return to form to their black metal roots. Their last three albums have been fucking terrible but even with the obvious electronic parts in the song, it looks like Blake hasn't completely lost the plot. What are your thoughts on the new single, and how have you liked or disliked the band's new direction?

Thing is, Suicide Silence actually are more sonically massive than a good 95% of all the death metal bands in the Archives! Not metal, sure, but definitely a lot more brutal.

I think it's deceiving. The song is boring and the drum machine sounds horrible

Fuck me, those "drums" sound awful. As for the song as whole, I'd say it sounds uninspired and dull. Further proof that Blake should have packed it in years ago.

The last two records were extremly well done and I love pretty much everything the band has put out. May it be the raw, the atmospheric or the experimental. (The self titled EP was my favourite btw) This song sounds pretty weird though, not at all what I'd expect from them. The other song they played live in cologne sounded much more interesting.
I'll be looking forward to the album either way. I'm sure it'll top Addicts considering I expect them to stay much rawer this time.

Actually didn't mind the drum machine. This is pretty cool, definitely a return to a more aggressive black metal sound. The industrial undertones were pretty cool. And I totally disagree about the last three albums being bad. Does this new single mean there will be a new album soon? I remember in an interview from a while ago that he had some ideas for a new album and wanted it to sound like a cross between Burzum and Ministry.

Do you think it could be some kind of practical joke?

Is this guy actually trying to write music, or just dicking around...? What an awful pile of tripe.

So is it okay for me to say it's terrible yet?
