Basically the what the title says. First off, let me say that I don't really like The Faceless, which is were Brewer got his fame from, but he is a very exceptional bassist. His solo album, "Alone" was released in 2011 and it personally shocked me to hear how great it sounded.

I'm looking for something as such. Ambient instrumental music, with creative effects used on single instruments. Also, bonus points if there is no drums or percussion.
For those who haven't checked it out, listen to "Alone", it is exceptional work that doesn't sound boring like The Faceless. Also, PLEASE do not discuss the Faceless on here... (hypocritical Markov is hypocritical, but whatever)

Thanks in advance.

Not completely single-instrument (mostly bass clarinet and cello), but check out On the Inevitability of Loss by Jonathan Matis http://jonathanmatis.bandcamp.com/album ... ty-of-loss
It's not nearly as upbeat as Alone.
