I feel like I've walked into an awkward part of this conversation... I don't think I want to know what a Facefuck of book is.

Does anybody else feel strongly that now, especially as Dio is gone, The Devil You Know should be re-released under the Black Sabbath name so it can be added to the annals with the other ten or so albums they released sans Ozzy? I was torn about the name change at the time, but on one hand it was quite admirable as it freed the band from the obligation to play old Sabbath songs that Dio was never involved with. Now though, that necessity seems nonexistent, and making it a Sabbath album seems the sensible thing to do. I imagine it'ed be good for sales, too!

I doubt they can do that, considering that Iommi went forward with the band name for at least fifteen years. Besides, it doesn't look like a Black Sabbath re-union with Ozzy is happening, at least under that name.

I'd like to see a reunion with Tony Martin. I've always wanted to see Eternal Idol and Tyr material performed live.

Here's a new track thats going to be on the new Naam (psych/doom) EP. Sounds great, even though it doesn't really sound as metal as their full length.

Don't think I've seen anybody mention Primal Rock Rebellion around these parts. It's got Adrian Smith in it, so it should interest some of you...

Sounds promising;

So..... the Greek ultra right wing neo-nazi party "Golden Dawn" won 6.9% of the vote and will have 21 seats in Greek Parliament.. They want to force immigrants into work camps and plant landmines along Turkish border. That's not good, is it? Even if it's only 6.9%.

I'd like to know what Porman thinks of that, that's very sad for Greece's history, bringer of democracy in the western world.

Yeah... I know that a lot of Greek people were (and stil are) mad at the EU because of the whole crisis thing, but I didn't expect this. It's the first time in 40 years that a Neo-nazi party got this many votes and a place in the parliament.

Edit. I don't know if many europeans would agree with me, but I think rearranging the EU could be a good idea. The economic differences between the north and south are way to big.

In defense of the Greek voters: Golden Dawn is a fucking sweet name for a political party. I'd vote for them blindly, and hope their platform has something to do with perverse rituals in pale moonlight.

You know, this could just be my demented mind talking, but the first thing that popped in my head after reading "golden Dawn" was a sex act involving a certain body fluid. :ugh: :puke:

Hah, I have a pretty disgusting internal monologue but I was more reminded of The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. Always thought that was one of the best occult-oriented names.

Govern openly and fairly and people wouldn't feel they have no option but to turn to extreme parties.

There would be no place for right or left wing fascism.

Wow, reading the wikipedia article on Golden Dawn and its some pretty crazy stuff. Some of their supporters of the party have been involved in lots of violence against immigrants, even murder in some cases.

Sadly not a lot of governments are open and fair, atleast not for a 100%. Which, would actually be quite risky for the government in question. We had a similar situation here in the netherlands. People were sick of the two biggest parties, and started voting for the more extreme parties (You know, mister Geert Wilders). But now, after Geert Wilders totally botched an important meeting about our economy/cuts, people are starting to flow back to the middle. The far left party is still going strong though.

Not just in your country but in many others. People are seeing there is simply no noteable difference between the (often two) major parties.

So we believe we have a choice?

The guy with the most amount of money wins. It doesn't matter that he came from some rich, well-to-do family and probably never had to work a blue collar job of sort for one day in his life. Most politicians lack perspective and the sensibility to make the sorts of judgement calls politicians are often charged with. They're out of step with the country, and so they pander to the extremist majority because that's an easy card to play. "America is great because America is great! We're the greatest country on Earth! Every other country wishes they were us!"

"We're going to make America better than it used to be!"...by shitting on women's rights and gutting education? Fuck off.

No, you've got it wrong... They're going to make America as good as it once was. They're going to take back the glory days of the 1950s, back when "gay" just meant "happy" and people went to church every Sunday and every father wore a wool sweater and smoked a pipe. Remember those innocent, productive times?

Well, yeah, except that they make their living on the stock market, have a Mexican maid and a gardener from Ecuador, a pool and two Ferraris, and there are less abortions and more guns. And the son heroically flies an F-15T and smartbombs insurgents in Bananistan. The daughter has an innocent dream of having the biggest implants in the county, and the usual problems are money lost in armadillo racing, inconvenience of being detained by the police after shooting intruders, and foul play in an apple pie contest.

Just twisted my foot, and I heard a pop. It doesn't hurt or anything, but I seem to be walking a bit funny (more than usually) and I constantly hear more popping.

Also, Finals are upon me, and I honestly just want to get off classes.
