I made a post in the Black Metal Help Thread, but got no responses.

I am looking for Raw Black Metal in the vein of bands like Axis of Light, Witch In Her Tomb, Blut Der Nacht, Shaidar Logoth, Void Meditation Cult, The Haunting Presence, Temple Nightside...

Basically, Black Metal with a really raw production style and plenty of emotional gravitas: nothing too wimpy sounding. I'm cool with Bestial stuff and Black/Death too. I would also like it if they were less well known, as I pretty much know all the major acts.

In work at the minute so I cant check out the bands you have listed to compare but check out Schattenvald, he has some quality albums out with elements of different genres in his work, the production is raw but the instruments are still clear to hear with the additional keyboards here and there, some of the tracks have a folkish melody while others are more grim and frostbitten sounding if you know what I mean. An interesting band well worth a listen and until recently they were very underground, you would not even find a download for the albums on the internet at all, I think 1 or 2 have appeared recently though.

Try checking out Kaevum. I have heard Prakt and Natur and can say both are solid.
