That was how I was doing mine. I just seem to have bad luck - I get strings of crappy Italian "gothic" metal bands and black metal bands who released no more than 20 copies of their demos.

I stopped counting at maybe twenty. But then, I know maybe 500 bands in total, so it would mean that on average it would take about 170 tries.

I haven't explored metal very even-handedly, so unless it's black metal it's unlikely that I recognise a random obscure band name. And because there are thousands and thousands of black metal bands nobody but three people have ever heard of, it's again unlikely that I'll know the average black metal band.

I once clicked "Random Band" and got Black Sabbath first try.

Out of all their song titles I looked at, "Stop - let's Girl suck you Fucking Dry" is probably my favourite.
