Decapitated - Organic Hallucinosis

That Covan video made me put this on again. Reminds me of better times in his life. :( That video really upset me....

Mortuus - The Constant Descent Of Seraphim

Massive, brooding black metal. This whole album is rife with an oppressive, darkly illuminated aura.

Deathspell Omega - Kenose III

That main riff is just devastating. Probably one of my favorite in recent memory.

Cerebral Bore-Maniacal Miscreation

Seeing them tomorrow, might as well listen to them tonight. Good brutal death, always good riffs in their songs.

Overkill - I Hate

This really takes me back to when I listened to mainly thrash, when I was first getting into metal. I'd never listened to all that much Overkill until recently, but now I've decided to get into them properly. Suffice to say I'm having a mental thrash renaissance.

Incidentally, does anyone know why it's fucking impossible to find "Taking Over" on CD for a reasonable price?

Dream Theater - Another Hand/The Killing Hand (from Live at the Marquee)
I need this record in my collection. This is not only one of the best live albums I've heard (up there with Unleashed in the East and Alive in Athens), but also contains one of the greatest vocal performances to ever reach my eardrums. Yes ladies and gentlemen; James LaBrie is absolutely on fire here.

Agreed. Really shows some powerful belting in this song. Just wish the album just was a shitload longer.

NP: Anathema - One Last Goodbye

Simply beautiful. This band definitely got better once they dropped the metalness.

Don't know if "a shitload longer" is something I would like, but certainly a couple more songs would have been great.
