1. Good haul with the Timeghoul and RC, Mikey. Are they even selling that RC on Dark Descent? Can't find it.
2. How does the artbook look? I would love to see some more drawings similar to the album cover.

1. Cheers. I got everything there from Dark Descent, so they had at least 1 copy when I ordered it, but that was a while ago now.

2. The book is basically lyrics, the band history, and the two covers of their demos on the front and back cover. Still cool, though. Most of the drawings are on the actual digipack itself.

Oh whups my second question was directed at Metal_Detector's Les Discrets book, but knowing what's in the Timeghoul one is good to know.

Dark Descent needs all Rotting Christ it can get so I can buy them at one spot!

My new Les Discrets artbook and LP showed up today.

1. Good haul with the Timeghoul and RC, Mikey. Are they even selling that RC on Dark Descent? Can't find it.
2. How does the artbook look? I would love to see some more drawings similar to the album cover.

It's pretty awesome. A lot of ghostly, simplistic but haunting paintings like the cover. I like some of them better than the cover art, to be honest. About half of the book is made up of artistic photos of the band, though.

I have the Alcest one, too, and it follows in about the same format.

Has anyone bought from Shadow Kingdom Records before? Well, of course some of you have, but I placed an order and chose my payment option, and I haven't payed for it yet. I have to go through an email first, which I haven't gotten yet because I assume it's not automated. I didn't see anything useful on this on their website, figured I'd ask here. Also, I wanted to spend a couple extra bucks for a different vinyl colour for a particular record, would this email be the interim through which I do so? Or do I have to select/request it elsewhere?

Edit: I just read the "information" section of their homepage, I don't know how I missed that. I'm fairly clear on the ordering. Not cheap on the shipping though... I kind of want to go back and add a couple things to make up for it.

A box of rubbers. Not because I have a high batting average in that regard lately, but because I know I'm going to wind up flinging 2 across the room in frustration for every 1 I'll actually use.

Oh, albums? Yeah, the Orange Goblin box set. If I can make these 2 purchases work in synchronicity, it should be a good weekend.

I wouldn't say it's all killer. Sleep Of The Angels didn't really strike me as awesome, but Triarchy Of The Lost Lovers, Non Serviam, and even their latest Aealo (minus the bad closing track) are all really cool.

Behemoth - Demigod. I wasn't very impressed on first listen, but not disappointed either. Seems solid enough.

Candlemass - Tales of Creation. Gonna listen to this tomorrow. If it's half as good as Nightfall, I'll be happy.

I can understand why you wouldn't be amazed by "Sleep of the Angels"; it took some time for me to really like it, it's got a different vibe. I agree about the closing track of "Aealo", it's really unnecessary but I've listened to it a few times, and I may get fascinated by it, but not every time. There was a time when I hated it because I had to sit through it while waiting for Rotting Christ to show up on the stage during on of their gigs.

Won Carcass' Heartwork album, also has a demo collection of their older stuff, and a Documentary. The set is called "Carcass - Heartwork" and below, the second CD says "The Pathologist's report Part IV - Epidemic" I got it for free, but it was considered a purchase because I was in a store while getting it.

Really cool stuff on the demos, I've always been a Carcass fan.

if i see another copy in better condition i'm likely to buy it, this one is fine but closer to vg or vg+
my local record store usually doesn't sell anything lower than vg+ or nm, but i got this privately so i was just happy with the good deal :nods:
