Check out this man (move to the chours at 1:18) and imagine him fronting a heavy metal band, fantastic, isn't it?

Don't know whether you guys consider her pop or not, but Bjork would be really interesting fronting some weird ass avant-garde metal band.

Yeah I don't really consider Bjork pop, but it would be interesting to hear her in a band like Sigh.

Snoop Dogg would be interesting to hear in some black metal, don't know what his growls would sound like though.

She has done stuff with Mike Patton. It's not that far off.

Fever Ray would make great for an atmospheric or avant-garde BM band (similar to the proposed Bjork ideas). I could also see her working well in a Goth/Doom band with some electronic elements.

I'd love to hear Elizabeth Fraser singing against something chaotic like Unexpect, lol.

Not exactly pop, but I always thought that John Denver would fit good in a power metal band. His music is already really uplifting a lot of the time, so who knows it might've been interesting.

Yes! Perhaps a Rick Astley/Peter Allen/Bewitched collaboration?

Tom Jones. Outside pop, I'd love to see some alt-country musicians give it a try. Generally their voices are a bit deep for metal, but hearing Kris Kristofferson's death growl would be worth it ;)

I always thought that Adam Lambert would fit in a really cheesy power metal band.

THAT!

Her album is one of the creepiest and darkest albums I have heard. I have always thought that "If I Had a Hear" would be a great black metal song. I might end up covering it one day :D

I dunno...he'd probably be drowned out, since he sings pretty softly most of the time.

This.

He did an incredible job covering Queen back in early 90's, even the band had serious intentions on replacing Freddy with him.

I say Steve Perry. Journey is already rock and the guy has a very powerful delivery and great range, in a heavy or power metal band he would kick ass.

I'm not sure if Bon Jovi and other glam singers count, I remember that early Bon Jovi was considered heavy metal/hard rock back in the day. David Coverdale was a part of Deep Purple, so I guess he's out of the thread.

Katy Perry should front a power/symphonic band. Metal could use a nice pair of tits.

No.

Keep her far, far away. She's terrible in her own territory.

I'm sorry. I should have clarified. The band would be instrumental. Katy Perry would be there solely for the tits.

Not pop, but I've always wanted to hear Jack Black to sing Dream Theater songs a capella. His overemphasis and strange articulation when singing certain parts would be hilarious. And then he would do the instrumental solos and such with vocal noises and beeps.

Agreed... The atmosphere on the full length was darker than 90% of metal out there. Plus the song "Stranger Than Kindness" is pretty much a Goth/post-punk song. AND the vocal effects used in songs like "Concrete Walls" would work so well in an atmospheric metal album, sort of like what Wrest does in Lurker of Chalice. Besides.... Karin's already got some pretty sweet corpse paint ;)
