I don't remember the last time I bought a cd but if this wasn't coming out on wax I'd snatch that up for the packaging alone. Fantastic job ogmetal.

I like touching this digipack. It's like the cardboard is magical or something. Also Timeghoul is awesome. Also Cosmic Atrophy + Demigod make this day awesome.

Dark Descent deserves all of the praise they are receiving right now.

P.S. someone tell Timeghoul to reunite and write more material because the world needs more triple guitar harmonies.

I don't think he is interested in reforming or reuniting timeghoul. The last I spoke with him he was just happy to have the material released properly and that he would have a copy. If you ask how I know...well i've been working on a death metal project with him http://www.myspace.com/grevlarmusic

and this is what he actually posted last year on DDR "It would be fun to jam with Jeff again but the last time I called he did not answer. I no of no bands he has been in since Timeghoul. Far as I know no reissue and no reforming of the ghoul. It is still frozen."

yeah from what i understand there is no way it's coming back, but those two demos will live on :) i remember him talking about wanting a vocalist for some stuff he was wanting to do, but i'm no musician ;) can't wait to hear some stuff!

yea we are still looking for one, he had a couple of guys try out but neither worked out. We were thinking that we might just share vocal duties. that myspace link does have one of the songs with me drumming and him playing guitar/everything else.

Due to being low on funds right now, I'm waiting for the vinyls to come out. However, I'm really looking forward to owning this piece of metal history. Also, I can't stress enough how completely awesome Dark Descent Records is as a label and mailorder. Fantastic releases, fantastic service, and Matt (ogmetal) is just a great person in general...

Sincerest thanks to you Matt for resurrecting all of these obscure gems and making all of our lives a little easier!

Oh also I forgot to mention: the remastering is beautiful. Seriously, you took early 90s demos and scrubbed them up as though they were recorded yesterday. The drums and guitar both pack a great punch, and they're clear enough and with enough stereo separation as to make those intertwining harmonies stand out.

Seriously this shit is so awesome, it's almost as though Timeghoul is alive and kicking again. Stormspell could take a lesson from Dark Descent. I sure as hell hope more obscure rereleases are in the pipeline!

Got it some days ago and I have to say...I'm really disappointed.

Disappointed that this band never made more material! It's a shame all we got were 6 songs/2 demos. I do want to commend ogmetal for the wonderful job he and his label did in bringing these classic songs to us. No more shitty 23rd generation tape rips for me!

Got mine on Saturday, this is great! Everything sounds better then the original (though still plenty raw, just like I like it), Panaramic Twilight's tracks especially just sound perfect. So glad I got this...

Just received my copy only 5 days after I ordered it. Very reliable label you're running there, ogmetal.

I may be echoing what has already been said countless times in this thread, but this reissue is fucking sweet. The enhancements in sound quality compared to the original demos are greatly appreciated. If you enjoy this band, you'll be doing yourself a favor in picking up a copy before they run out.

Now I wait for the vinyl issue.

Got it,

i like how you didnt put your Label logo on the back of the digipack cover. Little things like that make it obvious you are in it for the music.

Yeah, that's the default.

Not yet, but mine was one of the later pre-orders shipped and I'm in Adelaide so I figure I've got a few more days left before I can really consider it late.

Got mine two days ago, that was some damn fast shipping! Great packaging, love the artwork and the band bio in the booklet, and of course the music sounds killer. Awesome stuff all around.

That's not the norm for the layouts, but for this one it was just the thought (suggested by Ted from The Crypt, I think) that the art would just look cooler with nothing interfering with it. So that's what we did and it turned out nicely. That's the same reason there's only text on one spine instead of both (and we almost left both of them blank).

Well mine has arrived, as with everyone else I must give massive praise of Og and his awesome label. The plastic bit of the case is broken (like cracked right down the middle, oddly the the holder in the middle is fine), which is a slight bummer to what is an otherwise excellent looking and sounding release.

I haven't heard a note of Timeghoul's music but I ordered this (and Toxaemia because I wanted to get two surprises) the other day and it shipped a day or two ago. The word of mouth has been phenomenal, y'all better not let me down.

I hadn't heard them either, they're pretty freaking excellent from first listen, I guess it's kind of proggy and thrashy sometimes like a band like Revenant, but it also packs some very brutal blasting stuff, flat out doom, werid alien spacy stuff. Just really good interesting death metal.

Ordered it some days ago as a blind purchase - I've never heard their stuff before. Judging by the amount of praise here, it won't be a total disappointment at least :P. Apparently every second metalhead loves this band.

HAH, if only. this thread is the most love i've seen for this band, ever.....though admittedly i've only been a fan for a few years myself, someone who was around for the demos in their time might know otherwise. it's too bad they didn't get this much recognition the first time around, oh well....that's Death Metal for ya

i got mine a couple days ago, it sounds fucking great...a lot better than all the shitty rips on the internet, the drums seem to have more OOMPH to them-love it. thanks again a thousand times over dark descent/ogmetal
