Anyone know of any good Aggressive Melodic Thrash Metal bands? Stuff like Hatesphere and Dimension Zero. I only want decent production stuff, no raw sounding demos. Also, I prefer harsh vocals as opposed to cleans/yells.

Recommend me some new thrash bands that sound clean, fast and thrashy, similar to Testament - The New Order, Artillery - By Inheritance, Heathen - Victims of Deception, Viking - Man of Straw, etc.

Something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ISKdXL41AU

Or this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0uRJ5X3xLlg

Or this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IIA3V0zDKQM

Or maybe this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzbxuGEW4Rg

Doesn't have to be super-technical. Just has to be clean, thrashy thrash from a new band.

I'm not looking for new Artillery, new Heathen, or anything that has overly modern production, like Bonded By Blood. The older-sounding, the better.

I discovered them independently last night, and while it's not really what I was asking for, they do kick major ass.

You might enjoy Send More Paramedics' (S.M.P.) debut album, Bastard.

Which I showed you Martin! :-P

But seriously, they were a great crossover band, and you might enjoy them a lot BastardHead, I highly recommend them.

Well based on that any crossover or Bay Area band could work for you man. You gotta say what kind of sound you're looking for rather than just listing some bands that don't all have that much in common.

Check out Cross Examination for some more recent crossover. The Hung Jury EP and Menace II Sobriety full length are both killer and pretty much smoke any other current band in that department.

Ok so for Bay Area bands you don't know, try Vio-Lence, Heathen, and one of my favorites, LAAZ ROCKIT. That should be a nice start, when you get done messing with that stuff there's a whole page of bands that you could say "sound like Slayer", so maybe try to say specific albums and what you like about them.

I don't know much about crossover and don't care to.

Can someone something like

Destruction - Devolution
Kreator - Enemy of God
Exodus - Atrocity Exhibition B

I kind like the modern sound and the drums on these albums. Also the vocals are very good.

Thanks in advance :D

Here's a bad-ass new thrash band if anybody is looking for one...

http://www.myspace.com/profaner/music/s ... 3-74123502

Check out the song NO FATE. A 9 minute instrumental with killer riffs and AWESOME drumming.

Try Holy Moses' last few albums. They're pretty modern sounding but the band hasn't forgotten how to thrash or anything.

Try DEKAPITATOR on for size...

-The Storm Before The Calm - mid-paced thrashy goodness.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJqyXq2QkB4

-Run With The Pack - faster thrashy awesomeness.

Oh yeah Dekapitator is great. I like the vocalist he's got the perfect thrash yell. Storm Before the Calm is an awesome album, and the stuff off their others I've heard is tight as well.

It's a pity Megadeth's United Abominations kicks off pretty well with ''Sleepwalker'' and ''Washington is Next'' and after that sinks like a rock as far as quality goes.

Request: thrash metal with varied songwriting. Think of something similiar to Mike Howe era Metal Church; rapid thrashers, (power) ballads, longer, more complex stuff all within one album.

Try out the UK's Hospital of Death (H.O.D.), start with "Beer, Bitches, Blood", a fun and well written album with with very melodic high pitched vocals.

Thanks man!

I'd also recommend:

IMMACULATE - Atheist Crusade
MASTERIFF - demo
GAMA BOMB - Citizen Brain

Unfortunately, there are too few new thrash bands with melodic vocals.

I'm currently looking for suggestions of bands/albums that fuse Thrash and Doom in some way; this can manifest either as slow, ponderous Thrash riffs (Cerebral Fix), or alternating Doom riffs with Thrashier sections (early Revelation).

Good examples: Revelation, Cerebral Fix, Seventh Angel, Penance/Dream Death, Trouble, Confessor, Celtic Frost/Hellhammer.

Hit me.

Check out Scepter's album "I'm Going to Hell"

Definitely a mix of thrashing and slower parts... maybe not "doom" enough but worth a shot.
