The web label is not updated yet, but..

"Boxes come earlier than we thought, so LURK (Doom/Death from Finland), Chaos Dei (French Black Metal) & TORT (Spanish Sludge) are OUT NOW & AVAILABLE! For more info, samples, ordering information... Got to TotalRust's website."

Deleted the band "Exmortem" from USA. They are actually the band "Enmortem", already in the archives. Had the same band members listed, and demo. The comp belongs to Exmortem from Denmark.

I swear when I read their name the first time I thought it said "Alle Tomatchen!" (more or less "All the little tomatoes!") and I thought that it was the cutest thing. I was later disappointed. :(

Seems like it's a Gaahl side-project?

So, why are you even bringing them up? I mean, you aren't one of those who come post here without reading rules, right? Surely you aren't...

Actually it's a sideproject of one of the old Gorgoroth drummers. Gaahl is just a session vocalist I think. Bye for now!

Nice attempt at sarcasm there, but I have read the rules. The side-project rule says it accepts SOME side-projects, not ALL. It also said that the side-project has to have some connection with metal. So why was a pure folk band accepted?

You clearly haven't read the rules at all. There are plenty of non-metal side-projects on the site, that's the whole point of having the side-project rule (if they were metal bands, the fact that they are side-projects would be irrelevant!).

So because I misinterpreted the side-project rule means I haven't read any of the rules at all? Come on....

I dunno man, here's what it states:

Quote:
We accept the following non-metal bands in certain cases (these exceptions can be ambiguous and debatable - scroll down for details):

I don't know how the fact that the side-project issues refers to non-metal bands can even be subject to interpretation. It's written in plain text in a way that can't possibly be clearer. Oh well.

I was reading from the rules in the "why was band x rejected/deteled" thread. My bad.

I suppose that this band http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/The ... tion/74362 that I submitted back in 2006 should be removed. If you read the band's bio on their official myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/theblesseddeception you can see that there is nothing that says that the demo got released, they only say that they recorded a shitty demo. In all cases if you want to keep the band I suppose that the band's name should be changed to Euphoric Agony.

according to this: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/843/ww3fn.jpg/
chaos holocaust massaker is noise grind. their numerous demos are listed at the end of the text.
did Haayara_Boeret provide samples? as the split is not listed up there, perhaps that one could still be metal...

I would also add to uglur's post that the other band on the split looks also suspicious http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Vio ... 3540338812 If he provided samples I would be interested to hear them.

Can you really 100% trust Nimbus666 additions? It seems its always the same old dirty CD box on the same old wooden table used for all the pics of some bands he added

Would be great to ask to also have a photo of the CD, its esy to print a fake cover and insert it in a CD box ...

http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=wjgplc&s=5 for me here the cover is roughly cut if you see the left side

I didn't go by that photo. He also included a link to a forum where a limitation of 50 is mentioned.

a year ago or so, some of his additions got deleted because he apparently printed the covers himself.
one of the bands which got deleted was hosanek (http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Hosanek/3540337424)
lately accepted again.
their demo was only available for download with artwork and as far as i know still got not released physically.

Check pictures here (covers ....)

Dunno. Maybe the forum post is legit, but he just faked a CD regardless to make sure his submission made it through. Apparently he's made a habit out of that. If some other mod think it's too dubious, go ahead and delete the band again, fine by me. I wasn't aware of how "notorious" this guy was.

I contacted him and he described it as very raw and simplistic black metal. He owns the split tape, but digitalising it for samples may take some time.

Well this is another reason to ask about the samples, this could be noise grind indeed. I suppose we all agree on this: very raw could be noise and simplistic black metal could be the unclean indiscernible low vocals mixed with that noise. If I was at your place I would also ask about samples from the other band he added and is also included on this split. This is a personal opinion but in fact for me this one looks even more suspicious. If you just check the band's name, the picture of this neo-nazi guy, the titles of the tracks and the split cover I would say this is either a crust, hc punk or a grind band. I would also add that once this same user added a band that I was familiar with under the tag black metal. The split-tape was a bootleg and the band played an amateurish doom/death metal with oriental influences also it was kind off predominantly doomy and raw.

Deleted Hosanek. Found no mention that any sort of a demo was released physically.

The only implication of a physical release might've been this cover art, but it looks badly assembled. Plus it's a tape layout, suggesting the demo should've been handed out as a cassette. Nimbus submitted a picture of a CDr, so... in light of his history, I have to call bullshit on this one.

Why the hell would they be?

Sure, "Invention : Destruction" is too down-tuned and grind-ish to qualify as metal for the site's standards, but their other releases (particularly "Slow Death by Grinding") are death metal-based enough.

Okay, I contacted the guy behind Moloch and although he didn't have access to material from the split, he told me this about the tape (and the bands in general):
Quote:
Moloch = Black Noise
Chaos Holocaust Massaker = Noise Crust
Violence Blood & Gore = Harsh Electro

So it's a safe bet that (at least) the last two can be deleted. I've asked him for some samples from Moloch's discography, just to be sure.

*makes mental note to be more careful with Haayara_Boeret's submissions*

I don't remember if I listened to that album in particular, but I listened to about 12 songs from them last night and none were really metal.

I listened to two from Brutal, two from Le Mort, and the rest were from Invention: Destruction.

"Brutal" and "Le Mort" might be considered borderline cases, but the "Slow Death by Grinding" EP was metallic enough to justify the band's presence on the site.
