Seriously...I wanna hear about your band. Where can I hear it? Do you have a youtube channel? Do you have a facebook? I'm serious...I love hearing about unsigned bands.

Every so often...YOU kick ass...

My band isn't unsigned, but our label is tiny, so we will remain underground for the forseeable future, despite our music not being very underground.

I've got two projects of mine you can check out. They're a hell of a lot different from each other but tell me what you think, I love criticism. Both releases are free for download and are about 20 minutes each.

Solstice d'Hiver (pretty much straightforward black metal with some depressive undertones for good measure).

Radiation Sickness (my baby, primitive bestial black/death metal).

Spewtilator - Thrash/Death Metal/Grindcore

We have 2 cassettes out that you can download from the link in my sig, put out by different lables. You can listen to some jams from them on multiple sites below and there's video from a few shows on youtube... just search for Spewtilator or theres a couple linked on the blog. We're recording for a split and an ep on the 17th so there should be some new stuff up shortly if you dig what you hear.

Not my band, but I've jammed with most of the members every once in a while, and did some recording for the sake of it with two of the members as a three piece "side project" This probably doesn't count, but they're a band I like the guys in enough to promote them when the opportunity arises;

I play bass in this band:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZMU7VwEvOM
Recently finished recording our first full length, willb e out on tape and cd in the next couple of weeks. Also planning a northeast US tour for January.

And I do guitar/vocals in this band:

We're focusing mainly on demo/split releases on cassette. Just did a new demo, the track I posted is off it.

I play bass in Hylur, as well as doing back up vocals sometimes. We play doom metal, mostly of the stoner/sludge kind, but we mix it up alot since we mostly just go with whatever we think sounds good.

Some samples: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qa60NrV9b0E
A rehearsal recording of a song that took us half a fucking year to finish composing. You better listen to it in 480p.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3x4w6R8RBZs
A live recording of a song made some 2-3 days before the concert, and is now used as an intro for a song utilizing a poem written by an early 19th century Icelandic poet who spent most of his life ill in bed and finally died out of tuberculosis or something. His condition really reflected upon his works, including this poem which is about a man who is denied a resting place during a storm, is forced to wander off and fall into a canyon to die horribly. From beyond and in his anguish and rage, he proceeds to lure people into the canyon to suffer the same fate as he. Pretty doom I think.

I write some ambient music under the name Happy Happy Jesus Dance Party... Pretty limited resources, but it's a passion that is slowly developing. Working on getting some collaborators and taking it in a black metal direction.

We don't have a vocalist or a drummer at the moment but we're workin on it! We play various forms of metal and don't really stick to just one.

http://soundcloud.com/axis-of-frost Blackened Death Metal with a few doomy parts. I basically do everything except drums, which were recorded on an electronic kit so they might as well not be there. I'd love it if there were other like minded people in the Montreal area cause I certainly need more members.

De Profundis was pretty cool. I usually go for something a little faster in that style, but I won't deny that was pretty high quality stuff!

Thank you! We have just finished recording our 3rd album, which we're mixing in 2 weeks time. It's scheduled for release in mid-April. We started off playing Doom/Death with the odd faster moment, but by the 2nd album there was only a few doomy elements left. The 3rd album is completely devoid of doom. I'll post something up when we have the final mix of the album, but it probably be in the new year. Thanks for taking the time to check us out.

Grindcore type stuff. Some would accuse us of spending more time on titles than the music.

Progenie Terrestre Pura - q[T]p - is a project born at the end of 2009 by the mental collision between Eon[0] and Nex[1]. Our purpose from the beginning was to combine Black Metal with electronic sounds and Ambient without stopping at the classic Black/Ambient combination, but trying to extend it by including more elaborate and layered electronic elements (an IDM approach and Psybient landscapes) capable of creating a new, different atmosphere in Black Metal music. Our musical vision leads us to pursue a constant evolution without losing sight of the root from which we come, but, however, avoiding to impose limitations on the composition and assembly of ideas.

In short: atmospheric/post black metal + electronica

Well, my band is a thrash metal band with music inspired by American thrash from the 80's like Exodus, Sacred Reich, and the Big Four and clean vocals. I'm the singer and I take a lot of inspiration from guys like Bobby Blitz, John Bush, and Paul Baloff as well as a lot of earlier greats like Rob Halford and Ronnie James Dio. You can check us out through our Facebook page (in my sig) or by downloading our Demo.

I hope you like it!

If you want a huge amount of music created by Metal Archives members, check out the Songwriting Challenges. Here's a thread that compiles a ton of the material from past challenges:

http://www.metal-archives.com/board/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=80714

And see this thread for the most recent challenge:

http://www.metal-archives.com/board/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=86322

The results are always pretty interesting, with some stuff that definitely needs improvement but quite a few real gems to be found. In my opinion, pretty much each challenge is better than the one before it, but it's interesting to hear the progression.

My band is Shroud of the Heretic. Filthy, down-tuned, old school death metal. We just did a show with Impetuous Ritual, Grave Upheaval, and Ritual Necromancy. We're slated to do Goregon Massacre Fest III in our hometown, Portland OR. Here's some links and thanks for checking us out!

Might as well pick up the chance to do some free spamming

http://helligearg.bandcamp.com/

Hellige, it's the black/doom metal I sing in, we're about to release the first demo with me as a singer (before that it was the solo project of the guitarist, more drone/sludge based); there's already the rough mix of a song uploaded, The Rotten Waste.

anyway my band has a really shitty recording online but I'd appreciate some feedback on it. kind of a sludge/death-thrash mix.

Here's my project, Qidshu: http://www.purevolume.com/Qidshu/overview

It's epic/melodic thrash metal, or something like that. I wrote/recorded/mixed everything (vocals/vocal patterns/lyrics done by a friend). Other than a few friends, nobody's heard it, so I'd appreciate feedback.

Hey, I had stumbled upon your project a few days ago, beofore viewing this. I was incredibly impressed, I even commented on the facebook page. I was inspired to write a review for the promo here on MA (which I don't usually do). It is currently pending in the queue, but spoiler, I gave it a 100.

Everyone should check this out... truly something special.

I play bass and sing in a local Power/Thrash band Saint Solution. Here's our Facebook and a video link, we recorded a couple demos but I'm not happy with the quality so I won't post those. We're going into the studio next month to record our full length, so if you like the live clip just keep in touch and I'll let you know when the album gets released/how you can get it.

It's all kind of progressive rock/metal instrumental, I do it for fun more than anything, but I write all the parts on my own, and attempt to mix it all together. Sometimes just on Guitar Pro even.
Not often you hear someone wanting to hear such music :p

Starts softer, by the end, much more heavy.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=02QpVQKhLgc

A little acoustic piece.

A cheesy little piece I wrote for my girlfriend.

My band is ASTRUM, and we play an old school style punk metal.
We have pressed digipack CDs of our debut album. We also recorded a new album last year, and just made some CDrs of those.
We just got a new singer, female, and here is a clip from our last show:

I was doing vocals before that, but I really just wanted to play bass, this is from our Halloween party show:

I also do a black-metal project called Kosmokrater, the last CD is the best, I made some clips, here is one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0KmEUOMksU

I'm currently in a death/black metal band called Sordid Spell but at the moment it's only me (a guitarist) and a bassist. The original lineup (which went under the name Demented Saint) was a three piece which consisted of me on guitar/vocals, a bassist who also did vocals, and a drummer. We recorded a three song demo and played a few shows around the area but a year after we formed, the other two members moved away. I have since changed the name and gotten another bassist (so I guess it's basically an entirely new band now) and it's only been the two of us writing songs though we are searching for other members. Hopefully we will get the band off the ground soon because, if I may so so myself, we have some pretty awesome songs that need to be heard.
