I'll jump right in and say again, what a robbery! It's being bided for more than Excruciate's album? And that one has only 500 copies! Either there's a lot of speculative bids or there are some really desperate people out there.

Anyway I'll take the chance and ask about the rarity/price/availability of Gigandhi's albums. I can't seem to find much info on them so if anyone has an idea about it let me know, please.

Of course it's just my opinion, but the quality of Gorement way exceeds Excruciate, but I doubt that would reflect the price. Building up a collection of old school Swedish death metal, any collector can't miss either of the two in original version, so I guess people will pay the price.

About Gigandhi...I know they tried to make it to the UK market, discussing a distribution deal with Candlelight Records, but it never happen. I don't see their cds often even here in Denmarkk. If you're looking for their cds, I can tell you I have an extra of their debut cd, so feel free to throw an offer.

Gorement is down to $180 after crazy/fake bidders were presumably removed by the seller.

Gorement and Excruciate are both good bands, and personally I also prefer The Ending Quest over Passage Of Life, but that doesn't make it less true that there are 1000 copies of the Gorement album, and only half of that (500) of the Excruciate album. So it's bound to happen that Excruciate gets higher bids.

I agree that some people will only want OOP/first prints, but I'm not wealthy enough to drop $200 or $300 on a single cd! I actually own the reissues of both albums and I don't intend of spending that much money on the original copies, as it's clearly out of my league! I do understand people going after them though.

I'm going to send you a PM about the Gigandhi cd. ;)

Does anyone know how much the bootleg version put out by Nihil Records of Mutiilation's "Remains of a Lost, Cursed and Dead Soul" goes for? I found a copy for cheap, but I don't want to pick it up if it has no real value.

Sorry to interject but I recently saw Wrath - Nothing To Fear go for about 300$ on a private auction. Talk about sick. It's a great album really!

Pan.Thy.Monium stuff is pretty dear aye, i'd be keen to get some but it's a bit rich for my blood at present.
it's a pity a couple of my 'wants' are pricey as, cianide 'a descent into hell' and disastrous murmur 'where the blood forever reigns' are both expensive.
uggh and gorguts 'obscura' too :grumble:

Yes, its a bootleg, there is also one circulating from the "Vampires..." DLP, a seller from the US had those on Ebay recently

I remember that The Ending Quest was in the 'please if you have this I would really really like to trade with you' section of Nuclear Winter Records' website.

I used to feel all good about having bought Darkness of the Dead from Detest Records' distro. It seems that is no rarity compared to Ending Quest. Is it really that rare?

1000 copies only. And do be pleased to have Darkness of the Dead, unless you want to pay $300 or more for the original copy!

Yes, i have this one actually, got it for regular prices at a local record shop. The price for that boot is insane, as i'm under the impression there's a few distros who have this too. Goes to show there's plenty of kiddies these days who don't even research what they're buying as the first three albums all have different artwork done on the LP versions, which adds to the obviousness of more "recent" bootlegs.

What makes you say its a bootleg? Not that I can afford it now, but when I have a serious salary I was thinking of throwing down on some of these original Burzum albums, so I'd like to know what to look out for. All the info (including matrix) matches Discogs info.

The matrix may be almost the same, but the font is way off, I have many dureco made discs and that is an obvious bootleg, it looks nothing like an original dureco disc. Plus he sells bootlegs, just look at his feedback, moonblood cds and other such bootlegs for sale. One person left him this feedback even:
"Best Bootleg I Have Ever Seen , Better Than Original . Many Thanks A-|-"

Here is an example of what a normal dureco matrix design looks like:

Here's one for you folks.

Elise ''No Time For Masquerade.'' Sold for $160.38 USD.

This album is indeed rare so the price could be justified. However, what is impressive though is that this CD album didn't have an original backcover/insert, just a 'laser printed copy' of it.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ELISE-No-Time-M ... 415f799991

Demands for this gem must be high!!

Another pricey item for you fellas. This one keeps getting more and more expensive:

Burial - Relinquished Souls. Sold for 276.00 USD!

http://www.ebay.com/itm/160690492744?ss ... 1423.l2649

Superb death metal from Holland. Coincidentally, the last band I mentioned in this thread was also from that country.

Thankfully the great label Memento Mori is reissuing this gem early next year!

I just bought Moss' Cthonic Rites Die Hard 3xLP for around $150. Only 375 out of 1000 come with the Live Burial 12" bonus disc. Worth every penny.

It's not cracked in the data area, so it doesn't really matter. But yeah, that price is absolutely insane regardless! Do Burzum or Mayhem first-presses even go for that much?
