Anything between $15 and $25 is realistic.

Thats much too high, of course sometimes it sells in that region but with a little patience you can get it for a normal price. Bought my copy on Ebay 2 or 3 months ago for $20.

Also the two other TEF CDs he is selling have reached a quite high level. Would like to have the two later CDs, but yeah...

Same seller, same madness:

However, there are two presses, which differ on the backinlay. Can't remember exactly, but one had DSP-address only and one had also VoW address or something.

Wow. Had my copy for years as well, had no idea it would go for prices like this. And mine is the DSP addressed copy...

Yeah, I have Magenta Skycode and Three Empty Boys, I would really like to have that extremely limited ep as well, though Magenta Skycode is their best. I didn't really like the new direction for the band after that one. Good thing is that the tracks are also on the Nowafter compilation, but that doesn't really matter when it comes to collecting.

About the Merciless cd...I still never got myself a copy, dammit, but watch out for bootlegs! The DSP and VoW difference make sense, because the VoW version is probably the one that got distributed around different contries. VoW also distributed stuff from Head Not Found and other labels too.

If you are lucky you might be able to find it for less.
This one sold for $20.50 http://heavymetalcd.com/cd_prices/auction/270738875770

Hey does anyone know how much a CD copy of Funeral Winds/Abigail is worth?
Also how about a 1st press of Transylvanian Hunger by Darkthrone?

Anyone know how much the European digipak version of The Ocean - Precambrian should go for? I have the jewel case, but I'm wondering if it's worth tracking down just for the extra artwork.

Depends, there are at least 4 different editions without barcode. One with silver letters and logo of "Connected Distribution", one without that logo and then the same with slightly golden lettering.
The first press is the one with silver letters, without "Connected" Logo and not having the No Colours Email address and website on the backcover (just the old postal address), this one goes for appx. 15-20 Euro.

Screamer - Target: Earth, NR version, appears to be first press with (c) and (p) in 1988. Seeing a lot of mixed things on its value.

The original first release was pressed in 500 copies. There is also an official re-release by the same label on 1000 hand numbered copies (2006) and a couple of cheap bootlegs. You may find one of those first 500 copies for around $150-$200

The first release has Cat Number NRCD-52 and Matrix code NRCD52 W.O.# 9273-1 A 1

Thanks a lot, I'll have to check the matrix code when I get to my collection again. It looks very authentic, might just be the real thing!

Did Pathos Productions ever stop producing Dehumanized's Prophecies Foretold? Did anyone ever re-release it?

Also, forgot to bid on this fucker. Is $30 cheap for a demo like this? Did this look like a legitimate copy?

Theres 2 for sale on ebay for $150 each, but they've been there for about half a year without anyone buying them. The ones I've seen actually sell have sold from $50-$100. This is what the original cd looks like:

The code on the bottom of a CD is the sure way to tell a bootleg from the real deal right?

Typically, though they can be faked by particularly dedicated bootleggers. You'll mostly just see that for the most high-end items (Deathlike Silence originals and shit.)

Shit, man. Is there a possibility that big eBay sellers (the ones that sell a shitload of CD's in one go every few weeks) can be bootleggers? The ones I've bought choice items from seem to have pretty flawless feedback, I would imagine someone would have spoken up if they found out they got jipped.

Not really. Most people don't notice or if they notice they don't end up giving bad feedback because the user agrees to refund (bad feedback should be giving anyway, of course).

Also, you should beware of users that keep selling shitloads of CDs, fail to reply with the matrix number or where the CDs seem fresh new.

Morbid Angel - Formulas Fatal to the Flesh + Love of Lava sold for £51 the other day on Ebay. No it's not massively high but it usually goes for £10-15..

Does anyone know how much an original copy of Tomb of the Mutilated is with the coverart on the disc?

not much more than a normal used metal cd would go for. You can find them without looking too hard still...

This has probably been mentioned already but I'm not reading 70 pages to find out. Some French dude recently listed a used copy of Burzum's Det Som Engang Var CD on ebay for $1,299.

Most likely he accepted one of the 15 offers for it, and arranged the deal 'outside' of ebay to dodge fees and such.

Or he changed his mind.

I don't think so. It just says "This listing was ended by the seller because the item is no longer available". Maybe it was sold privately.

Jesus Christ! They made 1000 copies too! What happened? Did 985 of them get destroyed after they were printed? What makes this so rare? There are cds and records that are way more limited in production from that era that are not worth anywhere near that much cash...

I'll jump right in and say again, what a robbery! It's being bided for more than Excruciate's album? And that one has only 500 copies! Either there's a lot of speculative bids or there are some really desperate people out there.

Anyway I'll take the chance and ask about the rarity/price/availability of Gigandhi's albums. I can't seem to find much info on them so if anyone has an idea about it let me know, please.

I smell fake bidders to be honest. But sometimes ebay is crazy, so it can be real as well.

Of course it's just my opinion, but the quality of Gorement way exceeds Excruciate, but I doubt that would reflect the price. Building up a collection of old school Swedish death metal, any collector can't miss either of the two in original version, so I guess people will pay the price.

About Gigandhi...I know they tried to make it to the UK market, discussing a distribution deal with Candlelight Records, but it never happen. I don't see their cds often even here in Denmarkk. If you're looking for their cds, I can tell you I have an extra of their debut cd, so feel free to throw an offer.

Probably not but old thrash cd's can be weird. This has reissues though so i find it hard to believe it's close to this.

Vinyl editions seem to be worth $30-40 at best, but can be had for less. It's realistically a $30 album.
