I must recommend Deserts (http://desert-records.blogspot.com/), out of New Mexico, they are very reliable, stay in contact, and ship quickly!

Placed an order last month and the only option on the website was tracking shipping. After a month nothing arrived so I was told the order would be looked into then I was told that if it doesn't show up at my end or is not sent back then thats my tough luck. The owner wouldn't even offer to look into it at post office or anything. This is after me ordering from the label for over two years spending nearly $2000.

So I opened a paypal claim and got my money back because he claims to have sent the order yet the tracking number he provided still says the package hasn't even left the US.

Bottom line is Yosuke Konishi is scum and is only interested in $$$$$ id advise anyone to avoid ordering directly from his webstore he also makes a nice little profit on the postage he charges as well.

Avoid like the plague

You can easily get his releases from other distros. It's a shame that such a greedy person who is not in it for the music only the money has so many good bands on his roster.

Strange, I've ordered there quite a few times and I've never had any issues.

Has anyone ordered/pre-ordered from Xtreem Music before?

Ordered a few times from Xtreem, totally reliable.

mickO, that's a shame. NWN! has always been reliable with me, although I've only ordered stuff from him twice.

I ordered from him myself loads of times and he seemed fine it's just when orders go missing you will see what hes really like almost all distros offer you a full refund, partial refund or even resend the order if it doesn't show up not only did he not offer any of these he wouldn't even go down to the post office to enquire about it which makes me believe he didn't send it in the first place the tracking code he gave says the package never even left the US. All he wants is his bank account to grow.

Surley if he payed for tracking and it went missing he would get a refund I said this to him but he wouldn't answer me. Id rather buy from distros run by people who actually listen to the bands they are selling / releasing albums from rather than some asshole who pretends to like music just so he can profit from it.

I waited until the 45th day to open a paypal claim after Patiently waiting for his replys it took him 5-6 days each day to reply fair enough he claims to be busy but when I opened the claim he replied to me 40mins later and straight away to every email after that.

I ordered the New Miasmal LP from Detest records after 3 weeks it never showed up so I contacted them they asked to wait for another week or two then contact them again if it didn't show which was fine so it never showed after two weeks and I contacted them straight away the guy whos runs the label Jerry said ok ill send you a replacement without me evening asking for it and he wouldn't even release a quarter of what NWN releases. Thats how you run a distro and treat good customers. As well as that I only payed fro standard postage. So you can add Detest records to the list of good labels.

I found this piece on Yosuke and if your regular on the NWN forum and see some of his posts it makes sense.

I have no idea what you mean by this, but if you had issues receiving packages from two very reliable distro then it might be a bigger issue than you think and it's not label bosses who are at fault here.

I order rarely from NWN because many times I only want one record and priority mail shipping is too high for this, but what I have to say is every order and email contact I have with Yosuke has been no problems. Packages arrive so fast I feel like he ran to my mailbox. NWN label is massive now and he gets many orders/complaints daily he probably can't remember every single one. He has full time job and family to worry about between sending out a couple dozen orders daily, which takes much time. 9 times of 10 issues like these come from a failure of communication and not because label tries to rip you off. Coming from someone who has run and work for labels in past, many times if label does not respond the sender is not very clear and label doesn't want to waste time trying to demystify their message When you have to answer 25-50+ email a day you don't want to sit there and respond to every "hey still not received ur records dood, what's up?" from [email protected] - which records? When did you order? who are you? There's way too many questions to think of before a label can even look into the matter. Always make sure to give full info about your order and be friendly, this will make them more likely to work with you to resolve any issue you may have.

I believe there is thread on his message forum with pictures of lost/returned packages. You might want to check this and see if your missing $2,000 package is among these so he can repost it to you. I feel your post must be filled with bias rather than true claims. No label gets anywhere by being dishonest, and 9 times out of 10

I never said my package was worth 2000$ I said thats what I have spent in his distro over the last two years. If you took the time to read my post you would see that I was in contact with him and he basically didn't want to know. He gave me a tracking code that still says the package is in the US. I was nice, patient and friendly I contacted him after 3 weeks because I had placed another order a week after the one in question and it arrived. I never once said anything to him about being a rip off or anything like that I just said it was fine and id wait.

Then when I got the tracking code and told him it said the package didn't leave the US he said tough luck I can't do anything unless it gets sent back to me. As I already pointed out if the package was sent with a tracking number and it goes missing surley if he asked about it at the post office they have to refund his money. If he even said yeah ill enquire about it next time I would have left it at that but he didn't he just didn't want to know thats no way to treat a customer. I don't care how busy someone is im sure hes in the post office a lot it would have taken him 2 seconds to ask. He posted up on his message board saying I was scum I replied defending myself not saying anything bad and he just edited my post and banned me from the forum. Thats really unprofessional in my opinion and just shows what little child he is.

I never had a problem like this before with a label. Sure ill get all the NWN fanboys coming on here defending him because they think
it might get them a Fallen Angel of doom testpress but I don't care.

Also I said Detest records is reilable not unreilable. They offered to send a replacement straight away. Jerry and Detest records are 100% trustworthy and great label so I don't know why your saying I had a problem with two distros you need to take the time to read posts before replying to them.

My only experience was last year when i ordered them 2 cd.
They never arrived.
And we are in the same country.
Not saying that it's a rip off label, but convinced me to not order from them anymore.

Has anyone had experience dealing with Paul McGuire of Dead Haggis productions/merch?

He seemed to have a cool little selection of Defeated Sanity, Devourment, Putrid Pile, including a defeated sanity poster which I really wanted and ordered. He charged a flat shipping rate (site based out of UK). It's been 2 months and I still haven't received anything from this guy. My first attempt at an email left me with a response that it was on its way (no tracking). My second email (3 weeks later) asking where it was and could I get my money back, he responded saying he was sorry and he'll send another with tracking and throw in a freebie, then asked for my shirt size. I responded, with no response back from him, no tracking, no anything. It has been two weeks since that time with no word back. Has anyone had similar experiences? I don't recommend ordering merch from this site. He even blocked me from his site's facebook page after I sent a message there asking about the order.

Just name a time and place

Anyway I am posting my experience just because you had a good experience with a distro doesn't mean they are great. I have bought loads of stuff from the label Death to mankind (Die Todesire) or whatever it's called and never had a problem I always found him to be great yet loads of people claim hes a rip off. I have said all im going to say on this.

Also the question was posed to him on his own forum that if a label sends him a package and it gets lost in the mail would he look for for some sort of compensation. He just avoided the question. If he wouldn't look for compensation then im sure he would have answered the question.

http://nwnprod.com/forum/viewtopic.php? ... &start=240

So it seems its alright for him to do it on people but it's not ok for people to do it on him. Pure greed.

Just picked up a bunch of killer cd’s from Regimental Records for $5 a piece.
I chose to have them shipped without cases (they give you that option while in the checkout process) and the costs were very low. They arrived super quickly.
I also had bought a cassette previously from the guy who runs the site and that was at a good price with quick shipment as well.

Highly recommended.

I've bought from Northern Silence and Prophecy and never had any problem with them. Both had a great service and shipped fast and well packed. I'd recommend them wholeheartedly.

got this lot from crestfallen records
good communication throughout, shipped quickly [although tracking was pointless because nzpost didn't 'scan it in'] the shipping for 6 cds to new zealand was only $6 which i thought was good!
all cds were sent without jewel cases to keep postage costs down, they were well protected with cling film and cardboard then sent in a paper bubblebag
no damage was sustained en route
my emails were responded to quickly, paid via paypal, confirmation emails were sent quickly

9.5/10
well done, would happily buy from them again and recommend them too.

I have to recommend Dark Descent Records (duh!) for having such a great service and Matt for being such a cool and helpful guy. I also highly recommend to order from Xtreem Records, Dave has a great service and provides for all info regarding which editions he's selling, plus his packaging is super.

As for Agonia Records which I inquired before, I'd say proceed with caution and both eyes open.

Has anyone had any dealings with War Productions Portugal? I bought a couple of tapes from him and he sent them out 2 weeks ago and they've yet to arrive. I've emailed him a couple of times to see if he had a tracking code for the parcel because I'd payed extra for him to send it registered but I've yet to get a reply.

Any help is appreciated.

No idea dude, and I'm from Portugal. If it was sent through registered mail I doubt it has a tracking code, but I can't assure you that. If it wasn't priority mail it might take some time, and if it helps we had a global strike on all services this week. Add to that the time of the year (one month to Christmas) and the mail services get really slow.

Suppose it's still a bit early to cry rip off, thanks for letting me know about the strike mate.

How long did it take to get to you? I've only ordered from Portugal once and that took a week.

Took around two / three weeks. I'm currently in the middle of a trade with him he was waiting on some new tape stock to come in to dub the tapes, I trust the guy as had a couple of trades with him in the past and everything fine. So I'm sure he will get back to you and everything will be fine.

Just received a parcel from Regimental Records. Probably the best packaging I've ever seen, plus the $5 per CD deal is fantastic. Great service, awesome prices and fast shipping. Support!

I also recommend Memento Mori from Spain, cool distro service and great reissues from old school underground stuff with great packaging and booklets.
