Scroll to the bottom, on the upcoming releases it lists Outer Isolation by Vektor coming out November 15th. Fucking pumped! Black Future was pretty much the thrash album of the decade, I hope they can at least come close to matching it.

I've been hearing so much about Black Future these past few weeks that I've decided I need to buy it. Any album talked about in the same breath as The Evolution of Chaos, Ironbound and When Death Comes has got to be worth a look.

The first album seems a lot harder to come by.

Black Future is easily the best, and the only album i truly like from this 'thrash resurgence'. I look forward to hearing their new album.

Awesome news, been waiting for this since we heard their new song, hopefully they'll keep going where they left off on Black Future, as that was probably the best Thrash album (and one of the best overall) of the last decade or so.

Great news. Vektor opened me up to new hunting grounds with it's technical, and often progressive way of doing thrash which I had never thought of listening and enjoying. I even converted a few lucky souls into giving this band a chance and they love it.

FUCK YES FUCK YES FUCK YES FUCK YES

I must say, the album title is pretty lame though. It sounds nowhere as badass as Black Future did. Thankfully the new live song posted a while back was quality stuff, so I'm expecting nothing less from the rest of the album.

Fucking yes.

Easily my favourite modern thrash band, between the riff-o-mania, the ridiculous vocals, and the spot on drumming, it doesn't really get better for prog/tech thrash.

Vektor just passed MetalLouca for my most anticipated album for the rest of the year. Black Future is easily the best thrash resurgance album.

I only have black future and I really dug it even for it being some very long songs for that style I was digging it all the way through.

New Vektor is indeed what we all need but how the hell did everyone just ignore the fact that there is a new Exmortus album coming out too..

This should be awesome.

Just ordered the Black Future LP off of ebay and will be a first day buyer of whatever vinyl comes out for Outer Isolation. I e-mailed Heavy Artillery a week ago and asked if they knew approximately when the pre-orders would be available and they said the exact date wasn't set quite yet.

Album cover looks sweet; reminds me of Obliveon.

I can't believe I missed this show. 8 miles up the street from me, but I had to work that night. Didn't think they would play anything new though. Fuck. This is going to be album of the year, I just know it. This song fucking kills.

I'd think with all the talk and the hype surrounding this band that their album would have more than 5 reviews!

I somehow missed out on this band before now, though I've always heard great things. Giving Black Future a spin at the moment, and have to say I'm really impressed. Stoked for new material.

Just popping in to say that the album cover on that ad is not the real one, and that we're playing a few new songs at all live shows these days (as we have for the past few months). Playing Metaphor Cafe in Escondido, CA on 9/16 and Riff Haus in Fullerton, CA 9/17 both with Exmortus if anyone is in those areas. The Fullerton show is their CD release show actually. Thanks for the support, looking forward to sharing the album with everyone and doing lots of touring after that.

The Exmortus is what stoked me slightly more (they played a new track when they headlined a few days before Christmas two years ago (with Vektor opening, incidentally) and I've been chomping at the bit ever since). Either way, there are two of the absolute top new metal bands in that ad and either way I'm excited.

That leaked actually and, if it is indeed the real final mix of the actual album, it's really disappointing. They have a new vocalist who frankly sucks and the music isn't as interesting as before.

Ah man, excellent news. Black Future was a great album, if a tad long for my tastes. It'd be nice if the new release could focus more on just the thrash and not so much on the other elements present on BF.

The other elements are what make this album so great. Why dumb it down and make Generic Retro Thrash Album #2449 or whatever?

New Vektor sounds like it's going to be great. I love how they explore the weirder aspects of the '80s thrash sound. That first new song actually reminded me a lot of "Call of Ktulu," at least in the beginning.

What I like about Vektor's lyrics is that they are pretty different from most. They remind me somewhat of Nocturnus.

An interview with David Disanto

Some main points he addresses in regards to the new album:

- Only 2 long songs. The first track of the album, Cosmic Cortex, exceeds 10 minutes. The title track is about 8 minutes.
- The album will generally have shorter tracks than Black Future
- The band claims that they pushed their playing abilities to the limit, moreso than Black Future
- The songs will be generally more aggressive, and the album will be shorter
- It will include several re-recorded old songs (from their releases prior to Black Future)

Fuck, I can't wait 'til late November!

I know I've seen these guys well over half a dozen times here in Tempe supporting other thrash bands at the Clubhouse and UB's dating back to their demo days. I wonder which old songs would be re-recorded? Either way, Black Future was an eye opener. When I saw them about a year and a half ago they played with Destructor and Destructor fucking killed the place.... Who woulda known?

Black Future is undenyable as one of the best thrash albums of this decade.... and of all time actually...

Really? That's a huge bummer, I loved seeing them live and their first album ripped. I've been waiting for the new album for so long too... guess I'll have to decide for myself.

I felt that their thrash riffs alone on that album were strong enough to separate them from Generic Retro Thrash Album #2449 and most other elements contained within were extraneous.

Vektor need to jump the fuck on a plane and come to England, that's what they need to do. Barely hear a bad word about them; I'm hoping after this release they'll get big enough to travel about a bit.

Massively looking forward to this though, I also agree that Black Future was one of the best thrash releases of that decade.
