We've been half assed productive lately! Both Curt and Tex review some sick grind shit: Mild Mannered Misogyny's "Stronger Mind, Stronger You!" As well, Tex rants about extreme metal. More rants and reviews coming! Send us your demos, or recomend us some more demos / underground releases to check out!

Curt made a drunken post about DSBM and Funeral Doom and latter when't on to criticize the undeservedly popular and infamous "Deals Death"

Are you in a band?
Do you (for some unfathomable reason) care what two random douche bags on the internet think?
Do you want two more people to listen to your band once and give you way more feedback than you asked for?

If your answer is yes; send us your demos! If it sounds like shitty old metal with poor production we will love it unconditionally. If it sounds polished and modern we will hate an unwarranted amount for no reason.

You can probably find tons of decent stuff to review by running searches on bandcamp. For example, my latest project

http://thomastaylor.bandcamp.com/
Instrumental progressive metal.

You're going to hate it an unwarranted amount for no reason, and it'll be the third thing I'm involved in that you guys have reviewed if you decide decide to review it. I record a lot and I like honest criticism.

Of course we will review it! Neither of us have been on metal-archives for awhile, so I didn't notice your post. Keep sending us your tunes dude!

There are 3 new posts up. All 3 contradict each other but we don't give a shit! Bang your head and send us your demos!

Funeral Doom kicks ass... deal with it.

I am planning on writing reviews for Lago, Agga and a few others. Get fired up for some new installments based on senseless opinions.

Im digging the blog. The Rainbow/Dio post is dead on. Too many people out there don't fully appreciate the majesty that is them Rainbow albums. My favorite Rainbow tune is definitely Gates of Babylon, but Stargazer is a bad ass choice too!

This blog is awesome and well written. I really liked the "Listen to metal and enjoy your life." post in particular.

I was wondering if you guys could review my thrash metal band's EP!
Link for download: http://www.mediafire.com/?9aqv3h8brpu85cx
Info on the band is here: http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Aor ... 3540300063

Thanks in advance, guys!

Review for Agga is up! Sorry for being overly harsh on the production, I really do like that album. You have a really unique take on metal music and I want you to keep up the good work! Babylonian mythology is a very unique topic that is rarely heard in metal (or at least rarely heard by me.) And it doesn't surprise me at all that "Gates of Babylon" is your favorite Rainbow tune!

I have been fairly busy with work and reality, It makes it hard for me to find time to review things. I will definitely check out "Aortic Regurgitation" when I have some more free time. I feel bad for not reviewing Lago's EP or thomastaylor yet, which I will get too eventually. I am glad you guys dig our blog, keep the underground alive!

Haha, its cool man. I truly appreciate honesty and you were honest. Each review Ive read of my stuff helps me, believe me. If I made perfect songs I wouldnt be a DIY musician making music at home instead of a studio. Thanx for reviewing that demo/album. Did you happen to listen to the newer material?

Also, if you could post that review on MA as well it would be very much appreciated.

Yes, I know I still have a long list of demos to review but I have been too lazy to deal with them and while I was cruising through facebook one of my "so-called-friends" posted one of the most pathetic attempts at composing a metal song I have ever heard. I was actually embarrassed to know him.

Tex finally crawls out of his cave to contribute once more! We've both posted our lists of top notable albums of the past year. Check it out! No really obscure picks, but if you haven't checked out any of these great albums/bands, do it! http://abloodredpath.blogspot.com/2012/ ... -2011.html
http://abloodredpath.blogspot.com/2012/ ... -2011.html

We still have a bunch of stuff we need to review and I can assure you that we'll get to it in time, but we're both pretty busy doing fuck all and being worthless. My first venture back into reviewing will be Lago: http://www.reverbnation.com/lagoaz which I've been meaning to review for months.

So after almost a year of doing nothing, there will be some sort of activity happening on the blog soon. During our months of silence Curt got married and bought a house, and Tex finally finished university (for now) and had a brief stint of employment in China. Now Tex is sitting at home listening to a lot of metal and waiting for employment, which means he may as well start reviewing and blogging in the meantime. So he will have some reviews up shortly. If you sent us anything a while ago and would still like us to review it, remind us. And of course if you have any demos, EPs, albums from your band or just something you can recommend, send it our way!

I'd just like to know what others think about this. It's one-man instrumental power metal with a little blackened-ness sprinkled in for effect. Any feedback would be appreciated if you can get around to it. If not, no biggie.

I just posted a review for Montsegur - Under the Banner of Witchraft (http://abloodredpath.blogspot.ca/2013/10/montsegur-under-banner-of-witchcraft.html). Some really good Russian BM I stumbled upon recently.

Sometime this weekend I will post my loooonng overdue review of Lago's 2010 EP Marianas which I enjoyed a lot. I will also be reviewing their 2012 demo soon!

In the following weeks I will be posting reviews for submissions and suggestions we may have missed during our absence, including Postscrypt, Thomas Taylor and Viraga.

bamahammer, I have listened to Planetary and will have a review up soon for you as well.

Please keep your demos coming! Or feel free to suggest something. Otherwise I will be scouring the underground for more material to praise or revile as I see fit.

More reviews up, from a band I really like (Lago) and a band I really don't like (Postscrypt)
http://abloodredpath.blogspot.ca/

Lago's EP Marianas is worth hearing for anyone into underground death metal. I will have a review for their latest demo up by the weekend as well!

Just posted a review for Planetary's Adventure EP: http://abloodredpath.blogspot.ca/2013/10/planetary-adventure-ep-review.html
A pretty interesting concept, mixing black metal, power metal and outer space.

And if you missed the review for Lago's 2012 demo: http://abloodredpath.blogspot.ca/2013/10/lago-tyranny-demo-review.html
More awesome death metal
