They will be now known as ABOVE SYMMETRY and we can now finally present you the launch of the re-release version of the acclaimed “Ripples” album (including 3 special additional audio tracks and a video clip enhancement as bonus), out on April 25th, 2011 all over Europe.

Seems to have slipped through somehow. The new release is just a re-release under a new name and not a new album.

Unless these additional tracks get them in here somehow ...

Does anyone know when Stalaggh was eliminated from the Archives? I'm just curious to know when they were deleted (and for good reason).

That was years ago, probably around 2006.

The band "Cheerful Depression" has been added tot the archives, despite the fact that the band has no physical releases. The demo added on the band's page has only been released as a free download, as visible on the band's MySpace:

Does VYGR really need its own page? Isn't it just a minor name change (from Voyager)?

Sun Devoured Earth:
http://metal-archives.com/band.php?id=3540325436

Is this really metal? It has some metal moments, but it doesn't sound metal to my ears. This is their only physical release, the rest are digital:

Has a lot of influences. Experimental kind of guy. I'd personally consider it some sort Post-Black Metal, especially that physical release.

It's still the same artist...but so..basically only the physical release counts? (Doesn't change my opinion on it still being black metal though)

Again some clear facts about the band Liam as you can see the new EP "Silhouettes Lay Waste to the Living" is not physical it's also shoegaz you can stream the tracks on the band's myspace page.
As far as I know the supposed metal enough EP "Two Years and a Fragment" was never released physically as all the other EPs.
The funny thing and what I am 100% sure of is that the picture uploaded for the EP "Two Years and a Fragment" is actually a picture of the case of the compilation CD "Journey... Two Years and a Fragment" that was released physically by Pest Productions (China) and this release is far from being a predominately metal release.
This band should be removed.

Shiva in Exile should be removed I don't suppose that Trostlos Records has a worldwide distribution.

I second about Líam but for other reasons. I don't care about the pictures, but the most important, music. Although i love this band, i know they are a pure post rock band, with a very ethereal and cool sound. They tagged themselves as a post rock band, and it's false that Herbst of Lantlôs is part of Líam. They're two different bands, Líam it's not a side project of Herbst. So, to finish, i don't see any argument to see this, excellent, band in the archives.

I've been told to post this on the forums, so here it goes:

Malefice (France)
Not metal enough.
http://www.mediafire.com/?xnyv3xmy3dj
Pass: strappado

While I wouldn't mind calling this band metal if all their album sounded like tracks 1, 2 & 4, after listening to the full 30 minutes album, I'd say the band's style recipe would be, always in my opinion:

- 1/3 of hardrockish heavy metal music (tracks 1, 2 & 4),
- 1/3 of hard rock (tracks 5, 6 & 7), tracks 6 & 7 are fairly aor oriented
- and 1/3 of new wave, new wave with some rock touches (the synth infused ballad Mélancholie and the 6-minutes long Fantasmes, that's almost an industrial track)

Séismes (France)
Not metal enough, I'm afraid.
Hard Rock all the time, sometimes straight (tracks 1, 5, 7, 9), sometimes softer (tracks 3, 6, 8)
Track 2 is a ballad. I couldn't hear track 4 because the file was corrupted.

Download:
http://www.mediafire.com/?2t3mume5yuy
Pass: strappado

Steelover (Belgium)
Please delete. This is predominantly hard rock, with its characteristic basic riffing style and rhythm patterns. Their only metallic approach could be track 10.

http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Bor ... iscography - do they really have any physical releases? Covers for both demos look like they were done in 5 minutes in MS Paint, and to add insult to injury, the title font looks like one of MA's own.

You're right, this really looks suspicious. The add. notes for the first demo say it was put on cd-r and given out for free at shows, but it also say, that the artwork is fake. I'm inclined to delete this band. Speak up, if anyone know more.
