I have an objection regarding Ayat’s Six Years of Dormant Hatred latest review “Promising Anti-Islamic Black Metal” submitted by FullMetalAttorney. I usually don’t use this part of the forum so I don’t know if I should make a new thread or if there is already one where I can post the following:

The band is not an anti-Islamic black metal band. In fact, this accusation was wrongly posted (only) on the band’s MA page for some time. Later some users used this information mainly to review the band’s releases, again based on what was written on the band’s MA page. More information about this issue can be found here: http://www.live4metal.com/ayat2009.htm (this is an interview with the band’s vocalist).
Now regarding the review, 75% of it does not have any relation with the music instead it’s a vague discussion about how “exciting” can a lyrical theme such as anti-Islam be, knowing that this is not the case of the band. In fact the band is anti-religion in all it forms. Beside there is some false accusations that the band is hailing from the “Muslim world?” Lebanon is not an Islamic country.

I finally suggest that this review should be modified/deleted.

"Muslim world" does not mean Islamic countries exclusively, it refers to the parts of the world in which Islam is the predominant religion.
