I live in Cleveland, Ohio and there is no metal centric record store around here that I know of. There's a record exchange about twenty minutes from my house, but their selection of music is mostly to be desired.

Any help would be appreciated!

EDIT: I searched the thread and found mention of a place called My Mind's Eye Records in Lakewood, I will be venturing out there in the morning...

I'm going to be going back to Wisconsin later this year, where I was born. Anyone know of metal stores in the Milwaukee/West Allis or Green Bay areas? Anywhere between those cities would be great, too.

Long shot, but anyone know of any Metal stores in Sydney other than Utopia. Or an even longer shot, the Central Coast, NSW?

Hexx from Trench Hell runs a distro from somewhere up on the Central Coast, called The Coffin's Slave

Theres also Red Eye records level 2, on King street, just off Town Hall station.

In Newtown theres Repressed records (mostly punk, but some grind and thrash) and Le Cabinet des Curiousities which has lots of obscure doom, death metal, thrash metal and black metal

JB HiFi at Pitt Street Mall (CBD) has a decent metal section too.

I'm a new dad and I've been selling off some of my stuff.

http://www.bonanza.com/booths/alneufer

Thats my webstore. I only ship within the states.

I add new items quite often.

If your into the bands Isis or Coalesce just ask.

Many of the prices are negotiable just ask.

Thanks - Andrew

I work at a record store in Indianapolis called Vibes music. We have more metal than anywhere else in Indy, but honestly, our selection really needs beefed up quite a bit. We are working on that. Here is the Facebook page:

Just drove to Salt Lake City, Utah and found a place called The Heavy Metal Shop downtown. http://heavymetalshop.com/

Small, no used music at all (though he said he was thinking about starting to buy music again). But hey, it's Salt Lake City... can't ask for much.

There was a place called FireWalk music in Waukesha, but I think they closed and are looking for a new location. Your best bet is Earwax Records in Madison, it's a really awesome store, unfortunately it's about a 1.5 hour drive from Milwaukee and 2.5 hours from Green Bay.

I don't think there's any dedicated metal stores in the Fox Valley.

Hey guys, I'm going to the United States for vacation this year and thought that perhaps I can grab a couple of CDs to bring home.

So are there any metal shops in San Francisco, Los Angeles or Orlando? If the address along with the name could be provided, that would be great, because I have a friend there and I can ask her to check the area out. Thanks.

I had heard of Earwax before I left, it's great to hear that they're still up and running. Will definitely check that out.

Goodies disc exchange in Ridley on Macdade blvd has a real decent metal selection at reasonable prices (nothing really over 11 bucks). I've gone in there several times and have always found a few gems. Oh and they just expanded it too. Definitely worth a look.

Excellent, another Goodies fan. Did you get checked out by the younger, balding metalhead or the older owner of the store? Because the young guy tends to give you major discounts if you buy good and underground music because he claims that it impresses him that people around there can recognize such good music. Amazing prices and a great selection overall, definitely the best place to go for metal in Delco by far,

oh man, what days does he work? I usually just see Joe the owner there. It's crazy if you go in there enough i have found originals of the following:

repulsion - horrified
Gorguts - Considered dead
Revenant - Prophecies of a dying world

plus a bunch more. Love that place.

Does anyone know of any shops near the Philadelphia area? I live on the Main Line.

I do know of a few CD stores (even a few FYEs) but I just think that their metal selections aren't the biggest/best. A good number of the CDs I own are from Amazon.

I moved to Las Vegas from Phoenix, AZ.
I got spoiled in Phoenix by having and amazing metal store called Metal Devastation (with 2 locations, thank you very much :P)

Unfortunately they don't have the second location anymore. :( The one on 16th street and Thomas was shut down. Lack of money.

I have a couple of other stores to add for those in Arizona and are unaware of their existence.

Bookman's (two locations in the Valley, one in Flagstaff and three in Tucson) is an amazing second hand store with a large CD collection that includes some good metal. Granted it's all dependent on who trades it in, but I found some great stuff there all for about $6 to $8 a CD.

Another one to check out is Revolver Records. Their forte is vinyl and they have a decent selection of metal.

In Bergen, Norway there's two I know of. Apollon which is a tiny store, but good nonetheless, and a bigger one in Torgallmenningen square called Platekompaniet. Very surprising selection upstairs.

There was a thread on here a while back, about any metal stores in Melbourne, Australia. I will be heading there soon, so I was wondering if someone could jot down a few address's of stores with vinyls, patches, CD's, general merch, whatever.

What would you recommend?

Seconded. I'm in Melbourne right now and want to find any store that sells metal and/or punk music. It's the home of Trench Hell/doomed beast etc. so there has to be something of interest! I want to find the new vomitor album and so on, so any suggestions? I've already seen the metal mayhem suggestion so anything beside that.

Cheers!

When I lived there, there was a not so bad store in Gautier. It was on the main road that goes from Biloxi to Pascagoula. Had a big banner out front that said "We Buy and Sell Used DVD's"

There's a couple of record stores in Olympia, WA, but they're not metal centric. Any of those in Olympia, Lacey, or Tumwater, WA?
