I'm quite surprised that Schaffer's new ode to tinfoil hasn't garnered a bashing of legendary proportions. So I would love to see some more intensely negative reviews for this surely terrible album (I haven't heard it, but I feel like a I have). I'm sure that at the very least Empyreal, ANA, and Basterhead have something to say about it.

I have better things to do. Like reviewing the new Ozzy Osbourne album. Clearly that is a pursuit more worthy of my time!

You're such a tease, just review some early Sabbath already! Oh, didn't Ozzy try and kill Sharon in the mid-80s? Surely, regardless of musicial taste, that's a worthwhile effort... despite its failure.

The discussion about it inspired me to try out some of that middle era Iced Earth I always ignored due to my hatred of Schaffer, so maybe I'll get to it, but it's more likely possible that I'll never be able to sit through it. It's so rare that I write anymore anyways...

See, this album won't get too many negative reviews because I'm about to lose my mind and I'm only halfway through it. Schaffer's a loon, his music is boring, his lyrics are retarded, and there are more stupid samples than an Amputated album. The samples take up more space than the actual lyrics. Mofuh's pretty damn lazy methinks.

I'd figured the more time taken up by samples could only be a good thing; less time spent listening to Schaffer.

But the clips are all a bunch of paranoid tin-foil hat conspiracy theorist crap! That's torture beyond belief, even with Schaffer's crap.

I don't think there is a heavy/power metal album left that is capable of impressing Empyreal into giving it above a 90.

...sure there is, man. What are you talking about? I gave Excalion and Black Majesty both 95 scores just this year, and Hanker's The Dead Ringer a 100.

No, don't. Wait a few weeks before actually reviewing the damn album. Although I guess some of those were advance promo copies, but everyone else...eh, I never like seeing reviews so close to the date of release. Give it some time!

Maybe you're right. High profile releases do tend to get too many knee jerk write-ups. Empyreal, I would be shocked if you waited more than several months to do one.

I think it took me 3 years to review AMOLAD, although perhaps that was because it just never occurred to me to review it until then.
