Why are AIC and Soundgarden in the Archives as well as Rush? If the archives doesn't have Led Zeppelin, Jethro Tull, BOC, Godsmack, then why have the three bands I mentioned.

Read the guidelines, especially on Rush.
AIC and Soundgarden are considered metal. Bands that does have nothing to do with them musically are irrelevant.

The band BLACK WATER RISING is in here. Their debut album sounds like Pantera's southern sound with very slight Groove in some songs meets the alternative rock band <b>Saliva</b>. I don't hear ANY Heavy Metal in there like the page says, but there's a hint of Groove, but I wouldn't say there's enough the have this band listed here.

Please look into them.

Deleted Izgur Ashnu Shanug - they haven't released anything under this name, the demo was released under the name Crépuscule Hivernal.

Also deleted Uno Actu - predominantly dark ambient.

Just wondering:

I'm not a fan but AFAIK these guys are straightforward Heavy Metal. Well, I only heard one song and read the Wikipedia entry. I was actually reworking my iTunes tags based on the MA classification... Well, my reasons are actually more evil as I am removing anything that's not metal or classic (I mean orchestras and stuff, not 'oldies', lol)

This is the wrong thread, and they are alternative rock with few (too few) metal influences.

Ok guys,

this http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=48752
and this http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=103091
are obviously the same band.
The first demo was recorded with the name Surv[EYE]vaL but the other two with the name Survival, so i think that we have to keep the oneinfinity submission, not the mine!

Good work!

Why isn't Last Days of Humanity in the archives? They're a goregrind band, wtf.

Read the rules on grindcore. Those tags as goregrind do not interest us at all. Goregrind is not a metal genre, it is a tag which describes the lyrics.

What matters is, if the band is enough death metal based and Last Days of Humanity are not.

Damn, you have sikfuk and lord gore, they sound very similar to LDOH. I read in another forum that someone said they were a rock band. lol They are far from "rock". Oh well I'm just trying to get a pretty good metal band on here.

We have heard then and consider them not enough death metal based. It does not matters, to which band you find them similar, that is only your opinion and bands are judged individually. Also, how "good" the band in question is is irrelevant.
Read the rules or grindcore - only death/grind or bands that are close ito death metal in style are allowed.

http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=111414
http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=42078

But i don't know what is the correct entry :)! I think the correct name is Tenebhra, not Tenebrha!

Bye!

Deleted My Sister's Machine - some similarities to Alice in Chains, but far less heavy and more alternative/hard rock based.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KigS-Hkc ... re=related
Also Gruntruck - grunge
Even Roadrunner calls them non-metal, which is really something from a label that brought you Slipknot:
http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/news/G ... 18994.aspx

Roadrunner Records released two albums from Seattle-based Gruntruck: 1991's Inside Yours and their 1992 follow up Push. The latter was, up to that point, Roadrunner's highest-selling non-metal album due to the track "Crazy Love" being featured on MTV's Beavis & Butthead.

If this band is metal then the genre should be changed to reflect that, because "Electro/Funeral/Drone" obviously isn't a valid metal genre. I think the band is more likely to be deleted, though.

How are you guys going to handle the new James LaBrie entry. I know this was debated before and it seems like it has it's own page now because of mod approval (or I could be totally wrong). Anyway, it looks like Elements of Persuasion is on both pages, so that needs to be changed. The reviews for that album need to also be transferred to the new page.

What about Mullmuzzler II? It looks to be released under James LaBrie (I'm assuming), so wouldn't that need to be on the JL page and not the Mullmuzzler page?

Actually it looks like Mullmuzzler II was released under the name "James LaBrie's Mullmuzzler". It still technically belongs in Mullmuzzler's discography, although the band page should also be listed as "James LaBrie's Mullmuzzler" signifying an insignificant name change.

By all the Metal deletion marathon that happened recently you might start with your submissions first:
http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=35637

Traditional 60's/70's Rock'n'Roll....wonder who submitted this one...

It's on both pages because the reviews have to be moved to the new entry and only admins can do that.

As for the second album, I think it's fine as it is, because on James LaBrie's official site it's listed under "Mullmuzzler" name:
http://www.jameslabrie.com/discography.html
"James LaBrie's MullMuzzler" probably could be entered in the ANS field.

Sorry for the offtopic, but what was the name of the band? I'm asking because I'm interested in 70's hard rock.

Upon the sad occassion of their accident, I have listened to the band and they are not death metal at all, but crustpunk combined with influences of bands like like Coalesce:

I stand by their inclusion. The so-called melodic hard rock tracks aren't less metal than Twisted Sister's or WASP's hit songs.

Isn't this a mistake?

They say on their myspace, that the EP will only be released on the 3rd of September. I think the product in the ProMedia shop is just a pre-order:
