Thread renewed due to the "No posts exist for this topic" bug. Here's the old one for future references:
http://metal-archives.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=14116

If you are bringing up a band for deletion, here are some things to keep in mind before posting:

1) Use the search function before posting to check if a band has already been brought up for deletion. Make use of search features and booleans, if needed.

2) Always provide a link to the band entry on MA.

3) Always provide links to music for the mods to listen to. Full albums are obviously preferred, or at least a representative chunk of an artist's output. Barring samples, third-party descriptions and other circumstantial evidence can be permissible, although it depends on the specific case. It's ultimately up to the mods to decide if a deletion is warranted based on the information available.

4) Be aware that for a band to be acceptable it requires only one valid metal release. So before bringing up bands based on (a) certain release(s), make sure that nothing else in their discography qualifies as metal.

5) Items 3 to 5 from this thread's counterpart apply here as well.

I have deleted Nová Růže - mix of new wave rock , aor and hard rock, but not metal.

Also GGG - mostly hard rock with occasional heavier riff.

And Electric Boys - retro hard rock with funk influences, not really metal.

Also Repulsion New York. Apparently the demo was just a promo of upcoming album for Roadrunner.

White Tiger - glam/hard rock
Skelet - hard rock

Nihil Novi Sub Sole - http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=3540301734

It's not a side-project. The additional notes for Deinonychus (see here) make it clear that it is his new main project.

On MA it was with Metal in genre. Thats why I told "maybe".

I've removed Mucus (Pol) submitted by Sodomatic_Slaughter on March 15th, 2007.
It was already on MA (October 9th, 2006) - Mucas.

It was not NWOBH, it was melodic hard rock/aor with about one heavier song.

There's a brazilian band called D.F.C. on the Archives, but they're actually a hardcore band.

P.S.: Don't know if this is the right thread to post this. If not, I'm sorry.

See the guidelines about selected exceptions. Besides that, you cannot really compare these two, both in musical abilities, arrrangements, recording quality and performance.

Why the band Grimner got to be accepted, based on what?
http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=3540306260
I contacted them ages ago about their debut Ep if it is physical or not aiming to submitt them, but here was the answer from one of their members:

Hi Yuri =),
Thank you very much for your kind words, it's good to hear.
Unfortunately, this particular EP is not available in physical format, for a number of reasons. Hopefully though, the next record will be available for purchase in CD format. We will begin the new recordings pretty soon, probably, so stay tuned. Thanks for your support. =)

Heathen hails,
Grimner

I checked their myspace likely if they announced anything new about their record, but still only digital.
http://www.myspace.com/grimnerswe

So we must wait until their second release and maybe.

So do you think they lie about their physical release status!!!!!!
i dont really believe so, i doubt this photo though.
they say:"this particular EP is not available in physical format"
So how can this suddenly be physical!!!! further more in myspace there is no mention for any physical status.

I suggeste you to contact the band urself if ur not confident enough and to clear this up.

I don't think anybody is lying, nor the band nor you. I don't understand, however, why you say "suddenly" when you told yourself you contacted the band ages ago.

I received the email reply on 13 february!!
Its only 3 mounths "short period" for such a change in the physical status of the release.
And they said the upcoming physical release might be on the second release.Which is not done yet.

How about you getting an update from the band before throwing a fit in this thread?

No, he does not distribute it publically. Besides that, Zitadelle has already submitted a couple of bands with faked physical releases.

Okay, about Grimner, i contacted them yesterday and received a reply today saying this:
Hi Yuri!

In the beginning, we decided to have the EP in non-physical format, but the interest to get a physical EP was bigger than we thought, so then we changed our mind and released a physical EP.

I hope this cleared up for you.

Regards

Grimner

It seems it is alright now, and im glad things are cleared up.
Thank you.

I have deleted couple of bands from Detroit, taken from Motorcity Rock.
Some were hard rock, one even punk, but most had no reall proof, the the songs there were physically released to the public in demo form.

Kidskin - hard rock

Ansgar - electro "unblack", no real guitars

The rules wrote:
We accept the following non-metal bands in certain cases (these exceptions can be ambiguous and debatable - scroll down for details):

  • Side-projects of metal band members (ex: Pain, Wongraven, Die Verbannten Kinder Eva's)
Note that side-projects will only be eligible if they have at least one release on a label with worldwide distribution (to avoid a flood of bedroom/MySpace bands).
