Ok, sorry. Yeah, I accepted the band based the MySpace page listing the tape under "out now". I was a bit hesitant when I didn't see in the "Releases & Distro" blog, but I accepted it anyway.

Then again, the demo was supposed to be released on CD-R by Hellspell Productions; probably have to contact that label to ask if it's released there. If not, then the band can be deleted. For now, I updated the page to reflect this info.

It's okay, no worries. I doubt that label released it either, this band is very inefficient and tends to simply disappear, so I will be surprised if the band does have a physical release.

I've sent the label a message and so far no reply. On their Myspace, it's listed under their "Releases" rather than their "Forthcoming/TBA" list, so it's more than likely been released over there.

What the fuck!! If you take Inepsy off you might as well take Motorhead off.

And Inepsy's latest album No Speed Limit for Destruction is even more metal than their first two. You can listen to it on youtube.

Nonsense, they are predominantly punk and do not sound like a Motörhead copy.

This is no more metal than The Stooges, The Ramones or MC5. That it is not crust anymore does not mean much.

Take your screaming elsewhere.

Why is Animal Alpha here ?
And why is it labeled "Dark Gothic/Heavy Metal", being a Queen Adreena harsher-vocal-clone ?
Is it because of Christer-André Cederberg from "In the Woods..." playing there, or just because of them being from Norway ???
Anyway it's just Rock !

non-physical releases of bands with other physical releases in the database can/should be added?

I ask because there's a Hlidolf demo with the following observation:

Quote:
Demo, self released
2002

This material was never officially released in any format, but back in 2002 some (if not all eventually at some point) of these tracks were put onto mp3.com for free download.

According to Vidar Ermesjø these tracks might see an official release in a reworked/remixed form at some point in the future.

As I understand it's not a self-released demo but an UNreleased demo, I'm just not sure if it belongs (being what it is) and if it does should I add myspace/mp3 albums from other bands in the database (that's what makes sense at least)?

yeah, that much I figured already

my point is that the demo should be deleted, it doesn't even exist, it's just a compilation of mp3 tracks that were made available online individually some years ago and someone putted together as a "demo" virtual release, it should have never been added, it doesn't belong on ma

here's the link: http://www.metal-archives.com/release.php?id=143415

ps: it's surprising this band was even accepted as every drone/funeral doom band submitted lately has been denied (reason: not metal, doesn't belong) and to me they all sound pretty much the same, there's no substancial difference between the accepted and the denied ones

I guess the right thing to do would be to accept them all or delete them all to make things less subjective, but that's just my opinion... ;)

I have deleted Schweisser - similar to Rammstein in style, with even more obvious hints towards nu-metal.

Is Rebel really "Heavy Metal"?
http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=73433
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-FCeSn7 ... re=related

a description i found says: "the band set about writing an albums worth of rocking songs which straddled the line between the traditional Blues influenced Hard Rock of the 1970's and the leaner, more commercial sound of the genre in the new decade."

Lately accepted band Mass In Comatose should be removed in fact the EP was never released in physical form and the label is a digital dowload label this is the 3rd time the band got accepted and then removed.

Why was mass in comatose deleted ? cause of gravewish argument ?
If he say so , then Nutrition should be deleted too cause they are also under DTM " and they been in MA for quite mounths : http://metal-archives.com/band.php?id=3540295786
same thing goes with recent sofeshue :
http://metal-archives.com/band.php?id=3540302151

Weird the lable release stuff only in digital format !!, i thought both though !! by the way second sofeshue submission its legit , the band actually released a tape before spreading it for download on DTM rec.
I might contact the label concerning mass in comatose !! cause early in band preparation of the ep it was sheduled to be an MCD release, either im gonna contact some freinds in tallinn to check if this indeed was only for download via DTM.

Why exactly is this band on the archives? Take any early 80s streetpunk band and you'll find more resemblences to metal. It's just the guy randomly plucking strings on his guitar and bass. Not metal, not even rock, could barely even qualify as third rate streetpunk.

Let me disagree, i've uploaded a link to a review where the source was a cdr.

I would also like to see it gone, but I discussed it with Evenfiel once and it is here because of a side project rule. Unless Elizabetha's or Hrossharsgrani's first releases are not metal, this band will not be deleted.
Evenfiel wrote:
Actually, it was in the other distro I´ve found them. I don´t know where did you read that his albums are limited to 333 copies. The ones I´ve found are limited to 1000, which seems just fine.

I don't see where it was ever on a label with worldwide distribution.

Agreed. Do some investigation, offer some arguments ... I have brought this band up numerous time and was ignored by the mods again and again.

Good luck.

i'm just curious why the name change from "Grimthorns Forest" to "Grimthorn" is deemed to be NOT significant enough, while the name change from "Omnium Gatherum" to "Omnium" seems to be?
same for "Rhapsody" to "Rhapsody of Fire".

edit:
also this one: "Sigma Sentinel" changed name to "Sigma" and then to "Sighmä", each of this three has a profile.

Why is the band "Bleeding Through" at Metal Archives when they are listed as Metalcore? I thought Metalcore bands aren't allowed at Metal Archives?
